<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood Process and Energy are seeking expressions of interest for a <b>Quality Engineer</b> to support a potential upcoming project for durations of 12 - 18 months in Central Scotland. <br><br>You will be providing support to ensure that quality activities are completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner. Assists in the implementation, maintenance, monitoring and reporting on the status of quality management systems and activities, so that resulting actions are delivered effectively, and business risks are mitigated or prevented. Ensure that all relevant contract documentation and certification is obtained and collated ready for Contract completion. <br><br><b> Key accountabilities & responsibilities: </b><br><ul><li> Assist in the planning, development and execution of quality programmes in accordance within allocated budgets and in compliance with contract/project execution and quality plan arrangements <br> </li><li> Assist in the creation and maintenance of quality plans to meet contractual requirements <br> </li><li> Assist in the maintenance, documentation and deployment of Wood Business Management Systems <br> </li><li> Ensure the effective implementation of the correct Processes and Procedures detailed in contract execution plans and the Business Management System<br> </li><li> Assist with the establishment of assurance schedules and support implementation of internal, external and extrinsic assurance activities<br> </li><li> Be familiar current Codes and Standards (PED/PSSR, ASME, ASTM, EEMUA, CE/UKCA Marking, ATEX etc)<br> </li><li> Assist in the quality review and approval of product/material requisitions <br> </li><li> Review subcontractor and supplier Quality Management Systems, quality plans and ITP's, documentation and records ensuring they meet stated requirements<br> </li><li> Co-ordinate third party vendor inspection visits; review and distribution of inspection reports <br> </li><li> Assist in the management and analysis of Non Conformances and corrective action data <br> </li><li> Attend Kick off meetings and establish how defined quality requirements will be implemented<br> </li><li> Promote the awareness of quality principles through targeted communication, education and training <br> </li><li> Support lessons learned and continuous improvement processes <br> </li><li> Assist implementation of local management reviews and reporting of metrics and KPI's<br> </li><li> Resourcing of quality professionals with the appropriate quality experience and competencies, input into Quality Control activity coordination and contract completions process.<br> </li><li> Have experience regarding Supply Chin interface, data gathering, investigation and decision making in relation to Code and Standard certification to demonstrate compliance needs.<br> </li><li> Effective supply chain quality management is implemented including vendor capability assessments, performance monitoring and failure investigations<br> </li><li> Ensure the development and control of all supply chain documentation, certification and QA/QC activities, including the review and approval process<br> </li><li> Actively be involved with all areas certification to ensure fulfilment regarding minimum certification requirements<br> </li><li> Have experience with Completions, Handover and Commissioning Processes.<br> </li><li> Have experience in all aspects Quality Control and the corresponding output documentation and certification<br><br> </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b>Qualifications: </b> <br><br><b> Essential: </b><br><ul><li> Quality Auditor qualification by recognised industry body </li></ul><br><br><b> Desirable: </b><br><ul><li> Diploma (or local equivalent) in quality or related discipline </li><li> Membership of CQI, ASQ or other country equivalent </li></ul><br><br><b>Knowledge, skills and experience: </b> <br><ul><li> Minimum of 3 years previous Quality experience (preferably in relevant industry equivalent). </li><li> Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and application </li><li> Proficient in the use of Microsoft office </li><li> High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format </li><li> Analytical, Problem solving skills and systematic thinking </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
