<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a <b>Quality Inspector - Piping/Welding</b> with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. <br><br>Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required. <br><br>Responsibilities will include, at a minimum: <br><ul><li> Surveillance of contractor's installations, fabrications, and other identified field work. </li><li> Executing visual inspections per Code, drawings, and other applicable standards. </li><li> Preparing inspection reports. </li><li> Proactively reviewing Inspection and Test Plans and other quality documents for applicability. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> High school diploma or equivalent required. </li><li> Minimum of 7 years Quality Assurance construction experience required. </li><li> Certification in API / AWS inspection disciplines (API 510, API 653, and AWS CWI) preferred. </li><li> Knowledgeable in Codes specific to the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry. </li><li> Able to read blueprints, ISOs, and PI&D's. </li><li> Working knowledge of principles and practices of mechanical engineering, design and construction, engineering survey principles, trends, techniques, mathematics, and compliance. </li><li> Working knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and procedures related to project construction. </li><li> Knowledgeable in use of Quality Inspection tools and calibration requirements. </li><li> Knowledgeable in storage and preservation of equipment. </li><li> Knowledgeable of installation and setting of equipment. </li><li> Strong oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary and grammar. Excellent interpersonal skills. </li><li> Knowledge in computer programs such as Microsoft Office 365, Adobe and other project specific software platforms as required . </li><li> Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one situations. Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management. </li><li> Demonstrated ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues. </li><li> Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted). </li><li> Must be comfortable working in all environments including excessive heats and heights as needed. </li></ul><br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
