We help our clients throughout the Deals lifecycle to create lasting value for their businesses.</p><p>Each of our key areas within Deals, delivers services to the market individually or together by combining our specialists to provide comprehensive client solutions.</p><br /><p>The Financial Services team within DDV is a relatively small, growing and supportive team that specialises in helping clients pre transaction by assessing FS business&
39;s operations, technology and identifying Value Creation opportunities, as well as helping clients post deal with fast-paced transformation programmes - including planning operational separations and mergers. We routinely collaborate with PwC’s wider practice (e.g. Transaction Services, Strategy &amp; Consulting) as part of our go to market approach.</p> <p>We comprise both career-consultants and managers from industry, and welcome diversity of experience in our hires. </p> <p>The job will require some degree of travel, though our clients are more and more accustomed to working offsite. As a team we are committed to working flexibility, which is built on two-way trust.</p> <p><b>As a Senior Manager, responsibilities will include;</b></p><ul><li><p>Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria</p></li><li><p>Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team</p></li><li><p>Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges</p></li><li><p>Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients</p></li><li><p>Train, coach, and supervise staff</p></li><li><p>Be responsible for the financial management of clients</p></li><li><p>Lead business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the development of your own and the team&
39;s technical skills</p></li></ul> <p>Senior Managers are expected to lead a number of small projects, lead individual larger projects and train/manage more junior staff. Senior Managers also take a leading role on a range of business development activities outside of their project roles.</p><p>Skills and experience </p> <p><b>Either</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience of working in a role in financial services, or a role in industry, ideally Banking, Insurance or Asset and Wealth Management</p></li></ul><p><b>OR</b></p><ul><li><p>Experienced in M&amp;A, cost-out and / or synergies, integration, carve-out and/or on change projects, restructuring or business improvement</p></li></ul> <p><b>In addition to:</b></p><ul><li><p>Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and communicate with senior business leaders</p></li><li><p>Strong quantitative and written skills, able to build analyses or an evidence base to support a position, often in situations with imperfect or incomplete information</p></li><li><p>Comfortable under pressure and managing through ambiguity to deliver tasks in an environment where there are many unknowns</p></li><li><p>A healthy curiosity, coupled with a disciplined approach to understanding and solving problems</p></li><li><p>Ability to quickly understand large amounts of information and draw out hypotheses and key messages</p></li><li><p>Comfort around financial analysis and understanding of the drivers of financial information</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Consulting</b></p><p>In Consulting we deliver practical, far-sighted advice that gets straight to the heart of clients’ business issues and delivers amazing results by helping our clients improve the way they operate, reduce costs, manage risks, leverage talent or fundamentally change the way they do business, the work you do will be all about helping organisations of all shapes and sizes work smarter and grow faster.
