Welding Inspector

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is seeking a Welding Inspector to join their Pipeline Services Team in Austin, Texas. <br><br>Responsbilities: <br><ul><li> Assure proper welding specifications and procedures are followed. </li><li> Assure constructor's welders and equipment are well qualified to complete the work to be done. </li><li> Verify the correct grades of materials are used for welding procedures. </li><li> Coordinate and monitor x-ray crew activities. </li><li> Direct and monitor specialty procedures for specific assignments (i.e.; drag unit fabrication, tie-in welding, etc.). </li><li> Visually inspect all welds to assure they are prepared correctly. </li><li> Familiar with project scope and the associated specifications and procedures. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Five years welding experience related to pipeline and facilities welding </li><li> High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li> Certain credentials may be required, depending on the assignment. </li><li> American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI) credentials. </li><li> Certified Pipeline Welding Inspector (CPWI) credentials. </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
