SGA Accountant

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Responsibility for the preparation of entity overhead mid-year forecasts. This involves the preparation of robust forecasted financial data and its coordination internally to business stakeholders and within the wider finance team in a timely matter to support BU forecast submissions. <br><br>The role will also involve working closely with regional finance managers, global finance business partners and finance service centres on the review and analysis of monthly overhead results and reporting. <br><br>Key responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Responsiblity for the preparation of the overhead mid-year forecast, with agreement of local functions, working in conjunction with wider finance teams to meet group reporting deadlines. </li><li> Act as a focal point for finance business partners, to ensure ongoing forecast queries and information requests are completed in a timely and proper manner </li><li> Responsibility for administration of SGA data in Hyperion Planning forecasting system and reconciliation to Hyperion Financial Management system. </li><li> Assist UK finance managers with review of monthly SGA results, providing analysis of financial performance vs budget and material challenges within the business. </li><li> Execution of various ad hoc financial analysis and tasks as and when required </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Qualifications: </b><br><ul><li> Further eduction through College or University with a recognised accounting qualification </li><li> Qualified ICAS / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent preferred, however will also consider part-qualified applicants or those qualified by experiences </li></ul><br><b> Knowledge, skills and experience: </b><br><ul><li> 3 - 5 years accounting experience </li><li> Proficient user of Excel </li><li> Good systems experience of Oracle and Hyperion desirable, but not essential </li></ul><br><b> Personal attributes: </b><br><ul><li> Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships </li><li> Shows willingness to make improvements and shares best practice </li><li> Must be able to meet deadlines </li><li> Ability to work well in a team and independently </li><li> Good communication skills both verbal and written </li><li> Ability to discuss issues clearly and concisely at all levels within the organisation </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
