<p>Our Governors wish to appoint an ambitious, talented, well-qualified, motivated and innovative Subject Leader of Technology in our Design and Technology Department of our Expressive Arts Faculty, who is committed to raising achievement and who has the capacity to make a real contribution to the work of a supportive and continually improving school. Ambition for excellence, a passion for student achievement and the desire to develop professional skills within a supportive learning community will characterise applications for this post.</p>

<p>The ability to teach across the age and ability range is required.</p>

<p>Applicants with Food Specialism at Key Stages 3 - 5 would be desirable.</p>

<p>This Ofsted rated ‘Good’ School is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and releasing the potential of every young person in our care.In 2019, 60% of students in year 11 achieved five or more GCSE 9-4 grades, including at least a 4 in English and a 4 in Mathematics. Our Progress 8 score was 0.018. At A level in 2019, 96% of the grades were A*-E with 30% at A*-B and 63% at A*-C. Similarly, high levels were achieved in Level 3 BTEC qualifications.</p>

<p><b>SALARY:</b> £29,664 to £41,136 per annum (MPS1-6)</p>

<p><b>DESIGN TECHNOLOGY TEACHER JOB SPECIFICATION:</b></p>
<p>These are full time, permanent Design Technology Teachers roles. The Design Technology Faculty is extremely successful. You will be mentored by a highly experienced Head of Department and the NQT programme on offer is second to none.This is a school that educated pupils aged 11-18, so there is the opportunity for you to teach up to A level.</p>
