<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood is currently recruiting for an Environmental Manager with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.<br />
<br />
<b>Job Objective: </b><br />
<br />
The Environmental Manager is responsible for delivering Wood&
39;s environmental strategy and the HSSE policy obligations for the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) business. They shall also ensure robust governance in the management of environmental risk and opportunities across Wood&
39;s operations, ensuring that operations maintain environmental licence to operate and the environmental credentials to support clients in all jurisdictions in which they operate.<br />
<br />
The Environmental Manager is responsible for the implementation of Wood&
39;s Environmental Standards across the EMEA business and, collaborate with operations to achieve the highest standards of environmental stewardship, building an exemplary environmental reputation for Wood in the eyes of key stakeholders.<br />
<br />
The post holder will be a passionate advocate of excellence in operational and strategic environmental management, with significant experience in an environmental position including practical experience within the context of their career and an ability to influence at all levels. The person will have an in-depth knowledge of environmental compliance, emissions trading schemes (ETS) and Decarbonisation in highly regulated environments and have exposure and experience within circular economy, biodiversity, social aspect of sustainability.<br />

<b>Key Responsibilities: </b></p>

<ul>
<li>Delivering Wood&
39;s environmental strategy and approach to environmental management including the implementation of Wood&
39;s environmental standards across the EMEA business.</li>
<li>Ensuring that there is a plan in place so that environmental aspects are appropriately managed, that Wood&
39;s HSSE policy obligations are enacted and that key environmental aspects and impacts material to the organisation are identified on the environmental risk register.</li>
<li>Identifying, understanding, and communicating the legal, industrial, and contractual environmental obligations placed on Wood to key stakeholders.</li>
<li>In collaboration with the Skills Pool Team, developing training and learning experiences to facilitate greater environmental awareness and enable more effective environmental management across the business.</li>
<li>Working with assurance teams to make sure that environmental management aspects and impacts are subject to appropriate assurance processes and due diligence.</li>
<li>Providing the business with technical environmental services on a broad range of environmental management issues e.g., contaminated land, investigations, client engagement, decarbonisation, sustainability etc.</li>
<li>Managing resources to ensure effective environmental risk mitigation and effective support to Wood management.</li>
<li>Providing technical environmental advice and support to Management to ensure that environmental obligations are effectively supported.</li>
<li>Managing the effective investigation of environmental incidents and subsequent monitoring to ensure any trends are identified and mitigated effectively.</li>
<li>Liaising with the EMEA HSSE&S Vice President and legal teams to manage environmental regulatory issues and/or investigations.</li>
<li>Communicating environmental key performance indicators, trends, issues, alerts etc. to Wood&
39;s EMEA HSSE&S Vice President, General Management and Support Teams.</li>
<li>Supporting the business to maintain environmental licences, certifications, and memberships.</li>
</ul>

<li>First and /or higher degree in Environmental related discipline or gained significant workplace based experience</li>
<li>Chartered status</li>
<li>Trained and competent Internal Auditor</li>
<li>Root Cause Analysis - Accident/incident Investigator, e.g., Helix/Taproot</li>
<li>Professional membership of environmental body</li>
<li>Trained and competent External Auditor</li>
</ul>

<li>Development of environmental management systems to ISO standards</li>
