Experience the challenges, rewards and opportunity of working for one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry.<br> <br> <b>Responsibilities:</b> <br> The Counsel, Labor & Employment role is a mid-level position that works with Halliburton's business operations and support services function. <br> The Counsel, L&E is responsible for providing employment law advice and support to HR and Halliburton's business operations on Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, <br> the ADA, ADEA, WARN Act, FMLA, PDA, and a wide range of other employment laws. The Counsel, L&E also advises and provides training on HR policies and business practices. <br> This position assists other lawyers in the L&E Dept. with HR investigations and works closely with the lawyers of the Code of Business Conduct of Halliburton's Ethics and <br> Compliance Dept. This position manages outside counsel and employment litigation claims through the mediation and arbitration process. <br> <br> Employment litigation experience and a practical, solutions-oriented approach is required. Position also requires strong presentation skills and a team player mentality with the ability <br> to interact effectively and cooperatively at all levels in the organization, including with business operation clients, lawyers (in-house and in private practice), staff and other professionals. <br> <br> <b>Job Duties & Requirements</b> <ul><li> J.D. from accredited law school </li><li> Employment litigation experience </li><li> State Bar Member in good standing </li><li> Minimum of 5+ years of employment law experience at a law firm or corporate legal department </li><li> Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills </li><li> Excellent presentation skills </li><li> Ability to analyze complex issues and advise internal business partners appropriately </li><li> Must adhere to a strict code of ethics </li></ul><br> <br> <b>Not Required, But Preferred:</b> <ul><li> FLSA experience </li><li> Representation of multi-national companies </li></ul><br> <br> Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles give (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. <br> Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from Counsel to Senior Counsel. <br> <br><b>Halliburton is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
