US INDIRECT TAX MANAGER

<b> Do you enjoy being part of a successful team?</b><br><br><b>Are you passionate about making an impact?</b><br><br><b>Partner with the best</b><br><br>The US Indirect Tax Manager is responsible for US sales and uses tax compliance, audit management, and advisory services.<br><br>As a US Indirect Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:<br><ul><li>Ensuring that Baker Hughes complies with applicable sales and use tax laws.<br></li><li>Collaborating with the outsourced provider to monitor the preparation and filing of sales tax returns and the preparation of associated account reconciliations.<br></li><li>Evaluating existing processes, procedures, and internal controls to ensure sales and use tax process effectiveness, simplicity, and compliance.<br></li><li>Providing functional leadership in tax engine implementation projects.<br></li><li>Initiating and directing tax research and planning to develop tax strategies that minimize company sales and use tax liabilities.<br></li><li>Planning, conducting, and resolving sales tax audits, refunds and controversies.<br></li></ul><br><br>To be successful in this role you will:<br><ul><li>Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college <br></li><li>Have a minimum of 5 additional years of sales and use tax experience in a major accounting firms, law firms, or multi-national companies<br></li><li>Have a Juris Doctorate, Masters of Taxation or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification (preferred) <br></li><li>Proficient use of SAP, Oracle, OneSource and Alteryx (preferred) <br></li><li>Have experience managing projects <br></li><li>Have prior leadership experience <br></li><li>Have excellent oral and written communication skills<br></li><li>Be able to work cross-functionally <br></li><li>Be able to manage multiple priorities <br></li></ul><br><br><b>Work in a way that works for you</b><br><br>We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
