Sales Tax Analyst

<b>Do you enjoy being part of a successful team?</b><br><br><b>Are you passionate about making an impact?</b><br><br><b>Partner with the best</b><br><br>The Sales Tax Analyst is responsible for providing planning, research and business advisory services regarding US Sales & Use tax technical, systems, and compliance-related matters.<br><br>As a Sales Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for:<br><ul><li>Ensuring that Baker Hughes complies with applicable sales and use tax laws with the highest integrity. </li><li>Supporting Tax Manager in audit issue resolution and data gathering and development</li><li>Reconcile sales tax returns to underlying return details, general ledgers, and systems of original entry.</li><li>Developing in-depth knowledge of Baker Hughes and its industry to identify sales tax issues and value-add services.</li><li>Developing an in-depth functional knowledge of company buy-to-pay and invoicing systems to support the sales tax audit function.</li><li>Creating maintain and update tax rules within transaction tax calculation systems.</li><li>Performing sales tax research using sources such as state and local tax Statutes, Regulations, Code/Administrative Authority and reputable tax research organizations.</li><li>Preparing written memoranda to identify, analyze, resolve, and document tax issues associated with sales tax audits and refund claims.</li><li>Participating in the training of Baker Hughes finance, operations and sourcing personnel on sales and use tax matters.</li><li>Assisting in process improvement projects related to the transmission of sales and use of tax data used within return preparation and filing.</li><li>Assisting Tax Manager in the facilitation and implementation of sales and use of tax planning opportunities.</li><li>Assisting Tax Manager and Business Development Teams with merger, acquisition and divestiture reviews and integration of businesses to centralized compliance processes.</li></ul><br><br>To be successful in this role you will:<br><ul><li> Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college </li><li> Have a minimum of 2+ years of indirect tax experience in a major accounting firm, law firm or multi-national company</li><li>Be able to work cross-functionally</li><li>Be proficient use of SAP, Oracle, TR OneSource and Alteryx</li><li>Have demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities. </li><li>Have experience managing projects. </li><li>Have demonstrated oral and written communication skills. </li></ul><br><br><b>Work in a way that works for you</b><br><br>We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
