About the Job About the Role If you enjoy having a high level of collaboration and partnership with Senior leaders and key stakeholders while flexing your skills between visioning, strategizing, and tactical execution then this is the role for you! As the Director of Talent Acquisition, you will have the exciting opportunity to work daily with PetSmart’s Senior Leaders to assist with solving talent gaps necessary to effectively implement existing or emerging company strategies. In this role, you would be responsible for leading the Corporate Office and Emerging Talent Recruitment teams. This role reports to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition. Please note: This role is based in Phoenix, Arizona at PetSmart’s corporate office; Relocation offered. What You'll Do Develop and enhance existing processes within Corporate and Emerging Talent/University Relations (ET) Recruitment with an emphasis on Diversity and Inclusion. Guide, mentor and develop the Corporate recruiting team and the Emerging Talent Team. Ensures the team is exceeding the candidate expectations during the entire recruitment cycle and that the PetSmart brand remains positive in the eyes of candidates, the community, and our customers. Ensures both the Corporate and Emerging Talent recruiting teams are leveraging best practices and maintaining a culture of innovation in the pursuit of top diverse talent. Provide a high level of collaboration and customer service to senior business leaders to strengthen the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies. Stays connected within the Talent Acquisition community and encourages internal teamwork and brainstorming to ensure new methods and best practices are innovated and implemented to ensure continued relevancy. Strategizes and ideates with Senior Leaders on best-in-class Emerging Talent/University relationship programming to address future talent needs/pipelines. Partners with Employment Brand team to position PetSmart as an employer of choice. Oversees and supports cross-functional projects (e.g., Associate Work Experience - Talent Acquisition) to align with PetSmart’s broader goals. Who You Are 5-10 years’ experience in leading corporate recruiting and/or human resources with Senior level talent acquisition responsibilities. Executive presence and aptitude for partnering with senior executives is a must-have. Candidate must be results/customer service orientated, have consistent follow-up, be detail oriented, research and gather information and interpret and evaluate client group needs. Must possess foundational knowledge of Federal and State employment laws. Fluency within the Applicant Tracking Systems is needed, iCIMS preferred. About the Culture
