This position is responsible for each assigned local legislative rules and process. This role requires emphasis on data integrity and analysis to support key HR decisions while providing coverage and support as needed.<br><br><b>Partner with the best</b><br><br>You will be responsible for developing and leading a team of professionals and providing payroll and benefits administration support to the Baker Hughes businesses while focusing on enterprise standards, compliance and standardization. This role will also develop solid relationships with key stakeholders to maintain operational performance through leveraging metrics and trends and identifying areas for improvement.<br><br>As a Payroll Leader, you will be responsible for:<br><ul><li>Leading Payroll & Benefits processes, ensuring high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained based on compliance with local laws and Baker Hughes policy requirements.<br></li><li>A full understanding of legislative rules and union agreements is key as you will need to identify trends and/or process improvements, while taking ownership of all operations-focused tasks.<br></li><li>Conducting reviews and reporting to identify and implement continuous improvement activities.<br></li><li>Working closely with the HR Transformation teams. Lead and promote all activities aimed to achieve the best employee experience.<br></li><li>Participating in the drafting of the functional specifications of payroll tools.<br></li><li>Being the main point of contact for internal and external customers, also for suppliers of payroll tools.<br></li><li>Lead and participate in cross-functional project efforts between key operational processing areas including but not limited to: process improvement project plans, tracking and reporting progress, and ensuring adherence to deadlines and project methodologies<br></li></ul><br><br><b>Fuel your passion</b><br><br>To be successful in this role you will:<br><ul><li>Have Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.<br></li><li>Minimum 10 years prior professional work experience in payroll.<br></li><li>Have knowledge and solid understanding of national legislative payroll and benefits rules.<br></li><li>Experience managing third party providers and working with Unions (Oil & Gas / UOM preferred).<br></li><li>English proficiency: fluent, reading and writing.<br></li><li>Have effective organizational and analytical skills, and excellent interpersonal and communicational ability.<br></li><li>Be able to demonstrate experience in a leadership or supervisory role with a similar fast paced environment.<br></li><li>Be process-oriented and have critical thinking skills.<br></li><li>Have working knowledge of service request management tools, MS Office, Workday and other Payroll tools.
