The Training Specialist is responsible for leading the DePuy Synthes Site Training function to develop and implement training programs that support company objectives and meet regulations. They will lead design and administration of training programs to train all levels of personnel. The Specialist will develop programs and practices to identify developmental needs and monitor trends. They also prepare site personnel to increase effectiveness in present assignments. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with management, employees, and departments to identify training needs, address them, and achieve the end result of effective training solutions. Develop and maintain a training program to support the company needs and meet applicable local, federal, and state laws/regulations. Ensure that all assigned personnel have the education, training and experience, or a combination of these, to carry out all job duties and responsibilities. Implement training metrics to monitor training effectiveness against needs of the business. Summarize training program assessment data and participant attendance reports to submit or present to management. Create new training materials as required in collaboration with cross-functional partners. Lead or support site and global projects and initiatives. Communicate and raise issues to the next management level as needed. Create procedures and / or collaborate in relation to the training processes (administration of training curricula, training registers, training within an industry, archive, external regulatory agencies, operator certification, audit processes etc.). Review, interpret, and explain documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Qualifications Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's or equivalent university degree required; focused degree in Business, Education, Industrial Engineering, or other related technical field preferred Experience and Skills: Required: Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience Experience in a Training-related role, including experience designing and communicating successful training programs Experience leading or supporting projects/initiatives of varying complexity Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate/present clearly and concisely with all levels Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Preferred: Learning Management System (LMS) experience, preferably ComplianceWire, Summit, Cornerstone OnDemand, and/or equivalent system Experience with document management systems, preferably Windchill, ADAPTIV, and/or equivalent system Thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and OSHA regulations (e.g., ISO13485, ISO14001 & OSHAS18001) Work experience in Manufacturing/Operations or Research & Development/New Product Development Experience working in an FDA and/or European regulatory environment Experience as subject matter trainer to conduct training sessions (i.e., topics related to quality system) Other: Requires up to 10% domestic travel At Johnson & Johnson, we’re on a mission to change the trajectory of health for humanity.
