Intermediate AutoCAD / Civil 3D Drafting Technician

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking an <b>Intermediate AutoCAD / Civil 3D Drafting Technician</b> to join our Canadian team. <br><br>The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting assignments on a variety of civil, geotechnical, and environmental projects. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, self-motivated professional with experience with civil and/or earthwork construction drawings. <br><br><b> Key Responsibilities </b><br><ul><li> Preparation of construction drawings as directed by Project Engineers </li><li> Preparation of plans and design specifications </li><li> Developing internal 3D modeling capabilities </li><li> Assisting in the preparation of technical reports, specifications and calculations </li><li> Mentoring and providing direction to junior design/drafting staff </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Civil engineering technician/technology diploma from a recognized community college </li><li> Knowledge of standard drawings for transportation infrastructure projects including roadways, culverts and standard bridges </li><li> 3 - 5 year's relevant experience in Civil Design drafting work assignments </li><li> Solid knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D </li><li> Excellent organizational, technical, writing, communication and computer skills </li><li> Ability to handle challenges and work under tight deadlines </li><li> Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively </li><li> Excellent interpersonal skills/positive attitude and ability to work in a team atmosphere is required </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
