HSEQ Team Leader

<p>Our client is looking for an HSEQ Team Leader for a temporary contract position, located in Aberdeen</p>

<p><strong>ROLE </strong></p>

<p>To fulfil a senior role within the HSEQ Department and provide leadership to maintain a cult of safe and high quality service delivery. Ensure that company European Operations are managed in accordance with all relevant legal, client and company management systems by visiting and auditing work sites both offshore and onshore.</p>

<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES </strong></p>

<p><u>Health and Safety</u></p>

<ul>
<li>Encourage and promote HSEQ awareness in all operational activities and worksites.</li>
<li>Participation in the development and implementation of HSEQ management system policies and procedures,</li>
<li>Ensure the management system has relevant provisions to comply with all applicable regulations, codes of practice and industry standards.</li>
<li>Identification of trends regarding the recurrence of accidents/incidents/near misses/NCR's providing feedback and recommendations to the Group HSEQ Manager and senior management team.</li>
<li>Oversee the investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances and the identification of corrective actions</li>
<li>Development and delivery of HSE training courses to both onshore and offshore personnel, as required.</li>
<li>Promoting the effective use of existing HSE management tools and techniques on each worksite.</li>
<li>Liaise with relevant regional industry regulators.</li>
<li>Liaise with clients during performance review meetings and audits.</li>
<li>Ensure ongoing certification of management system and participate in third party audits.</li>
<li>Contribute toward health, safety, environmental and quality information for tenders, contracts and proposals.</li>
</ul>

<p><u>Manage Personnel </u></p>

<ul>
<li>Develop a highly skilled and effective regional HSEQ Team.</li>
<li>Provide support and regularly communicate with subordinate staff both formally and informally, as required, to ensure the highest level of operations are achieved and expectations are understood</li>
<li>Set performance targets for all processes and personnel for which you are responsible for in conjunction with the Group HSEQ Manager.</li>
<li>Ensure that subordinate staff are adequately trained and ensure their personal development is continued in order to meet the growth of the business.</li>
<li>Prioritise and delegate HSEQ workload as required to ensure that all HSEQ matters are actioned.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Carrying out monthly reviews and generating reports on the status of NCRs and action items;</li>
<li>Participate/conduct with internal quality audits and following up on non-conformances and corrective actions;</li>
<li>Create, monitoring and measuring of Quality Plans, KPI's, objectives and targets.</li>
<li>Maintenance of HSEQ department folders, filing and creation of new files for correspondence, publications, reports etc;</li>
<li>Assist offshore operations with management system documents and reports.</li>
<li>Assists to implement and maintain certification of ISO 9001</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS </strong></p>

<p><strong>Qualifications/Training</strong></p>

<p>Essential</p>

<ul>
<li>Training in relevant HSEQ aspects such as risk assessment, auditing</li>
<li>IOSH Working Safely</li>
<li>NEBOSH Certificate</li>
<li>Accident Investigation</li>
<li>ISO Lead Auditor</li>
</ul>

<p>Preferred</p>

<ul>
<li>Taproot Accident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis</li>
<li>BOSIET</li>
<li>Degree level education</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Previous experience in HSEQ Advisor role.</li>
<li>Identifying, interpretating and implementing relevant HSEQ Legislation and industry standards.</li>
<li>Working within the oil and gas or energy industries.</li>
<li>Working with externally certified HSEQ Management Systems.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Knowledge/Skills/Competencies</strong></p>

<li>Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office</li>
<li>Highly organised and ability to manage competing demands</li>
<li>Self-motivated and able to expediate work to its conclusion without supervision</li>
