<p>Sparrows Group have a requirement for a Recruiter to join the team in Houston, Texas on a permanent basis. The Recruiter will support the implementation of effective recruiting strategies to attract and retain a diverse pool of qualified talent for the US organization. Works in collaboration with the recruiting department, hiring managers and human resource staff to fully support the recruitment process for into the new hire onboarding process.</p>
<p>Main Responsibilities:<br />
• Provide recruiting support including candidate sourcing, screening and selections, scheduling and conducting interviews.<br />
• Managing relationships with key stakeholders including Hiring Managers, internal/external candidates and external recruitment partners.<br />
• Provide Hiring Managers with tailored sourcing solutions for each of their vacancies.<br />
• Enforce legal compliance, ensuring that corporate recruitment processes and procedures are implemented and followed.<br />
• Actively approach candidates who may be suitable for a career with Sparrows.<br />
• Ability to effectively recruit and represent the company at job fairs and various hiring events in the southern US region including technical schools, military recruiting etc.<br />
• Collaborates with department managers to draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria within set guidelines.<br />
• Conduct reference checks, make job offers and handle negotiation of offers.<br />
• Using systems in place to build a talent bank of suitable candidates.<br />
• Be proactive in creating a Pipeline of Talent for all key roles and hard to fill vacancies. <br />
• Look for areas to develop Continuous improvement within the recruitment department on systems and processes within the Recruitment Team. <br />
• Use social media to engage with candidates, promote and enhance Sparrows employer brand.<br />
• Engage with external recruitment partners regarding the supply of contracted personnel where such resources are deemed necessary/appropriate.<br />
• Ensures that all candidates are actively managed through the process and that they have a positive hiring experience.<br />
• Assist Hiring Managers in interview preparation and execution.<br />
• Keeping up to date with local market knowledge and recruitment practices to provide support to business managers.<br />
• Actively monitor age of vacancy and suggest alternative strategies ahead of reaching maximum age category (91+ days.)<br />
• Maintain accurate vacancy status records.<br />
• Manage the performance and relationships with external recruitment partners (such as recruitment agencies, job boards etc.) <br />
• Contributes to team efforts by providing support in other HR functions as required.</p>
<p>Qualifications & Experience:<br />
• Degree qualification desirable.<br />
• In house recruitment experience preferred but not essential.<br />
• Experienced Oil & Gas, Industrial or similar recruitment background preferred.<br />
• Experienced delivery of international recruitment campaigns desirable.<br />
• Ability to travel as needed to support recruiting needs.<br />
• Ability to focus on priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.<br />
• Confidence and drive to succeed coupled with the ability to be diplomatic and tactful.<br />
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal.)<br />
• Ability to analyze data and produce management reports.<br />
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)</p>
