Safety Advisor - Data Centre

<p>Headquartered in Ireland, delivering throughout Europe, our client is a leading engineering company focusing on data centres. They currently employ circa 650 people in 2021. We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a <b>x2 Safety Officer</b> to join their team</p><p>The Safety Officer will oversee a team construction personnel and ensure the project safety programme and procedures are being conducted to the highest safety standards. The Safety Officer must be effective at motivating employees to behave in a safe manner.</p><p>Below is a list of typical duties but is not exclusive of all duties that are required to be carried out during the project.</p><p> </p><p><b>Reporting to</b><b>: </b>Safety Manager</p><p> </p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p><b> </b></p><ul><li>Conducting regular, formal site audits and carrying out inspections as directed in the Safety Management System</li><li>Ensuring that record of statutory inspections are kept for all activities and plant equipment</li><li>Delivering and completing statutory notifications to the Health &amp; Safety Authority for the project and all incident/accident reporting and to conduct inspector site visits as required by the Health &amp; Safety Authority</li><li>Delivering Health &amp; Safety induction programmes for new employees or contractors working on-site</li><li>Advising &amp; assisting site management in drafting and communicating safety method statements</li><li>Compiling, updating and communicating site Emergency Plans</li><li>Conducting preliminary accident investigations and statutory notifications, while keeping Group Safety Manager updated</li><li>Making sure First Aiders are available, that an adequate quantity of First Aid supplies is in stock and that all relevant Certs are updated</li><li>Collecting and collating relevant information for inclusion in the Safety File and preparing for handover to the Client at the end of the project</li></ul><p>Tech Stream Group International is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.</p>
