<p style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''><strong>Our client is looking for a Health & Safety Specialist to join their team in Corpus Christi, TX on a long-term contract on a Monday to Thursday schedule.</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>File and record safety and health documentation in the corporate document management system and E-SIMS (environmental-safety information management system) as needed and as directed</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Assist the Health & Safety Supervisor and HSSE Manager with accomplishing various tasks related to safety and health, routine inspections and participating in and overseeing safety information documentation to facilitate the operations and/or safety and health projects related to an LNG facility</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Monitor, audit, train and prepare reports to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, permit conditions, site-specific conditions, requirements, procedures, policies or other authorizing documents required by federal, state and local regulatory agencies</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Assist with the facility safety programs designed to educate, train and motivate personnel to minimize occupational incidents, injuries and hazards. Support the implementation of the safety program, procedures, guidelines and work methods for operations and maintenance activities, training facility personnel in all phases of the safety program and making safety recommendations as needed</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Specify, select, maintain and recommend safety and personal protective equipment needed for employee safety and required to comply with all federal, state and local regulatory requirements and/or company policy or procedures</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Document and report safety conditions to Production, Operations & Maintenance staff, Health & Safety Supervisor, HSSE Manager and Corporate Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Department as needed or as requested for safety performance</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Provide safety and health representation, advise, training, guidance and support to LNG Operations & Maintenance staff. Provide continuous reporting and compliance documentation to Health & Safety Supervisor, HSSE Manager and support to the Corporate Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Department staff</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Support clean-up efforts involving minor spills and may perform initial response and notifications to incidents or releases</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Assist Shift Supervisor, PTW Coordinators, Operations and Maintenance staff on higher risk field permitting activities and serves as subject matter expert for safety-related field activities</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Conduct or participate in investigations of safety incidents, near misses and root cause analysis of safety issues</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Conduct data entry in the company's E-SIMS Compliance Management System and assist in development and maintenance of other sustainability programs as requested</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Assist in conducting safety and health training with the Technical Training Department. Participate in terminal safety meetings and all safety committee meetings</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Monitor hazardous work and participate in planning and execution of work events that are non-routine or have elevated risk factors</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Evaluate and identify federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and assist in the development and execution of policies, procedures, permits and/or execution strategies. Assist with the review and oversight of all new regulatory initiatives ensuring compliance with existing regulations dealing with safety for the facility and personnel. Assist with the review of all major capital projects and other projects to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations</li>

<p style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''><strong>QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS):</strong><br />

<strong>Education and Certifications:</strong></p>

<ul>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>High school diploma or GED is required.</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, or relevant discipline, equivalent work experience, or related military training/experience is desirable.</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''><strong>Must be CPR, First Aid certified</strong>, or have the ability to obtain certification and have knowledge of emergency procedures.</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>CSP/ASP Certification preferred.</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''><strong>Must have a valid TWIC card.</strong></li>

<strong>Experience: </strong></p>

<ul>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Minimum of five (5) years related experience in HSSE, Emergency Response, or equivalent military experience.</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Knowledge and understanding of the Incident Command System and Behavior-Based Safety programs preferred. Must be able to prepare and present information to a varying audience.</li>
</ul>

<strong>Skills:</strong></p>

<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Strong leadership and administrative abilities are required of the Health & Safety Specialist</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Familiar with health, safety, security and environmental regulatory requirements for federal, state and local government agencies for LNG facilities and/or have the ability to learn and obtain necessary skill/knowledge requirements within timeframe designated by management</li>
<li style=''text-align: justify;'' text-align:=''''>Knowledge of investigation techniques, root cause analysis, incident reporting and/or have the ability to learn and obtain necessary skill/knowledge requirements within timeframe designated by management</li>
