HSE Trainer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood has an opportunity for a <b>HSE Trainer. </b>There is an increased thrust to deliver our services for the growing Asian market. As a result of this, <b>HSSE</b> <b>Department</b> operation is expanding and evolving to manage the challenges of regional projects that continue to pose challenges in offering our services through a global talent pool. <br><br><ul><li> Conduct HSE training programs and project induction. </li><li> Communicate health and safety action plans, concerns and decisions to respective personnel on site, client and contractors. </li><li> Carry out daily HSE inspections, and to follow up on any deficiencies noted with contractors' field management. </li><li> Participate in the investigation and reporting of any incidents that require such action. Follow up on medical treatment for any casualty. </li><li> Implement proactive measures to curb accident/incident, unsafe behaviors/conditions from recurrence through promotion, campaigns, and talks/training. </li><li> Manage site HSE records (audit, inspection, meetings, incidents, tool box talks, pre-job start talk etc). </li><li> Ensure contractor implement the safe work procedure as per agreed work methods. </li><li> Conduct BBSOs to identify unsafe behavior or conditions to reduce loss or near loss incidents and reinforce good safety behavior. </li><li> Attend Pre-start and Toolbox Meetings. </li><li> Implement HSE programs with reference to construction 60 days' ahead programs, legal requirements and best practices </li><li> Perform other related duties assigned by direct supervisor. </li></ul><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Holding a certified trainer certificate such as ACTA or ACLP </li><li> <b> Must be fluent in Mandarin to conduct training in Mandarin. </b> </li><li><b> Must be able to prepare training material in Chinese and provide translation for procedures and project documents. </b></li><li> Minimum 5 years' experience in the same role with exposure to construction projects especially in the oil, petrol and pharmaceuticals sectors. </li><li> Able to interpret the project fire, safety, health and environment plan and implement the program during construction and commissioning phase. </li><li> Familiar with Wood, Client and International Certification systems (e.g. ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 systems), applicable for the project. </li><li> Fulfil the qualification, experience and competency required by local regulatory agency to act as the project HSE supervisor.
