<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood (trading locally as JSC WOOD KSS) is currently looking for a Senior Electrical & Instrument Quality Control Inspector (KZ passport holders) to join our team in Tengiz. We are looking for candidates with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference to our performance to ensure that the company continues to differentiate itself from competitors by delivering quality projects to our client's requirements. <br><br> This represents an excellent opportunity for individuals interested to work in Kazakhstan, with most assignments expected to be for at least one year's duration with the opportunity of further extension for the right candidates. <br><br>To ensure that Fabricator employs competent and authorised inspection personnel and inspection activities are completed in accordance to approved inspection requirements. <br><br> To ensure that all inspections are carried out by authorised inspection personnel and all inspection works are completed in accordance to approved inspection plans, approved contractor documentation or specified requirements. <br><br>Responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Co-ordinate E&I quality/inspection requirements from project start-up through to handover of certification dossiers </li><li> Support the timely approval of Inspection and Test Plans </li><li> Oversee quality requirements at selected/approved E&I contractors </li><li> Inspection of incoming materials and review of material certification dossiers prior to installation; </li><li> Review and approval of quality certification including MRB ongoing reviews </li><li> Report any inspection deficiencies to the Quality Coordinator </li><li> Report ITP status to contract management teams at regular progress updates </li><li> Assist with auditing of E&I fabrication activities </li><li> Ensure that all relevant industry Codes, Standards and Regulations are met and that project standards, specifications are adhered to </li><li> Perform conformance reviews and advise Construction/Contractor of corrective actions and/or assist them in the resolution & closing of any NCRs </li><li> Final Inspection, walk downs, punch listing and issue of IRN for systems, sub-systems and assemblies </li><li> Attend Construction/Contractor progress meetings and other meetings as required </li><li> Promote a quality culture among everyone involved with the Project </li><li> Promote the awareness of quality principles and concepts, promoting the review and challenge of working practices and methods to enhance performance </li><li> Maintain reject register and ensure close out of actions </li><li> Assist in reviewing quarantine areas within warehouse for goods inward receipt inspection </li><li> Assist with incident investigations, reviewing incident reports and ensuring that any relevant correct/preventive actions are implemented </li><li> Assist with auditing of Fabricator </li><li> Provide regular progress reports including contractor performance, arising from inspection </li><li> Support the Quality Coordinator in the review of Fabrication Dossiers as required </li><li> Liaise with the Client Quality Representative as appropriate </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Bachelors/University degree in engineering, (or local equivalent) in a relevant discipline and experience or High school diploma in engineering, (or local equivalent) in a relevant discipline and experience; </li><li> Inspectors shall have a minimum eight (8) years of inspection experience in manufacturing plants, including minimum five (5) years of independent inspection experience in the specific commodity and processes to be inspected. </li><li> Inspectors shall be fully conversant with applicable industry standards, specifications, and fabrication methods and shall perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision as required to verify compliance with requirements. </li><li> Shall have knowledge of ISO 9001: quality management systems requirements and implementation </li><li> Inspectors shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the National Electric Code, IEC or equivalent standards </li><li> Inspectors shall be familiar with the international Industry Codes and Standards related to Intrinsically Safe Systems and Electrical Systems for Instrumentation such as; ISA RP12.6, ISA RP12.2.02, ISA TR12., ANSI MC96.1, IEEE 518, IEEE 1100, IEC 60529, NEMA ICS 6, NEMA 250, NEMA VE 1, NEMA VE 2, NFPA 70/NEC and UL 94 </li><li> As a minimum, inspectors shall be able to inspect complete loop checking, wiring continuity, colour coding and start up. </li><li> When required, inspectors shall be able to evaluate 'Factory Acceptance Test' results and demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of international codes and standards related to packaged units instrumentation </li><li> Professional attitude and commitment to safety (technical and human factors) </li><li> Able to communicate well, and develop excellent relationships with team members, managers, contractors and Clients. </li><li> Knowledge of local cultural and language a major advantage. </li><li> Competent English language (spoken, written and reading) skills </li><li> Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industry international experience in EPC;
