Quality Engineer

<p>Our client is looking for a Quality Engineer for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.</p>

<p><strong>ROLE</strong></p>

<p>To ensure the quality of company products & processes are consistent & to the highest quality standards. Ensure compliance with all appropriate company/client/legislative requirements. Working under the Group Project & Asset Management team, in conjunction with other key functions - Engineering, Operations and Product Development,</p>

<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>

<p><strong>HSEQ</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Communicate, manage, and maintain high levels of awareness and compliance to HSEQ policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure that self and team are aware and comply with all company, client and job specific procedures/legislation.</li>
<li>Maintain an active role in the identification of opportunities for continual improvement in the Company's quality, health, safety, and environmental management system.</li>
<li>Attend safety meetings with HSEQ/Client personnel as required.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Quality</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Review procedures, policies and processes, report, recommend and implement continuous improvements.</li>
<li>Review and ensure equipment complies with current legislation / regulations globally</li>
<li>Liaise with global locations, ensuring that equipment is controlled utilising the same Technical Files and processes.</li>
<li>Attend regulation / legislation seminars for information on any changes.</li>
<li>Assist with ongoing ATEX compliance from equipment.</li>
<li>Manage the Pre-Hire Inspection of Assets at each site, in accordance with Company operating policies and procedures, in conjunction with the Fleet Manger.</li>
</ul>

<li>Including the Equipment Inspection & Maintenance Tag Sign offs.</li>
<li>PUWER, Final Inspection etc</li>
<li>Calibration, Certification etc. for Project Mobilizations.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Manage the Post-Hire Inspection of Assets at each site , in accordance with Company operating policies and procedures. Apply Red Tag & document findings.</li>
<li>Create & facilitate Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) for new build assets (internal & external) in conjunction with product development.</li>
<li>FULL control of Pre-Hire documentation & creation of documentation Portfolio - Client Portal , in accordance with Company operating policies and procedures, in line with the Fleet Manager.</li>
<li>Advise on and inspect assets identified to be scrapped as deemed beyond economical repair , in accordance with Company operating policies and procedures, in line with the Fleet Manager.</li>
<li>Manage the Pre-Hire corrective actions through to closure or Conditional Release/Waiver , in accordance with Company operating policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Lead Investigations into failed Product or Process as per NCR / SR requirements</li>
<li>Attend weekly meeting & contribute to department related Non-Conformance reports.</li>
<li>Apply Project Knowledge to Client specific Quality Plans in conjunction with Regional HSE requirements.</li>
<li>Develop ITP for new build assets in line with Supplier (internal or external)</li>
<li>Liaise with Global locations, ensuring equipment is controlled utilising the same technical files. </li>
<li>Attend all Project Kick off meetings - Present QA relevant considerations.</li>
<li>Attend Design Review Meetings & Input from QA point.</li>
<li>Attend Project Weekly updates or reviews.</li>
<li>Attend SR & NCR as focal point for Project & Assets Department.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>

<p><strong>Essential </strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Degree/HNC/HND Level or equivalent in Technical or HSEQ discipline.</li>
<li>PUWER Assessor.</li>
<li>Background & experience in a quality role within a technical / oil & gas related subject.</li>
<li>ISO9001:2015 knowledge.</li>
<li>Ability to read and understand relevant legislation / regulations</li>
<li>Knowledge of mechanical & electrical equipment certification requirements for the Oil & Gas sector.</li>
<li>Competent in reading and understanding Engineering drawings.</li>
<li>Knowledge of temporary mobile Equipment.</li>
<li>Ability to record data utilising Microsoft Word and Excel.</li>
<li>DNV 2.7-1 knowledge</li>
<li>ATEX and CE knowledge</li>
<li>Ability to work to a high standard at all times.</li>
<li>Competent in inspection techniques.</li>
<li>Ability to develop and follow operational instructions</li>
<li>Dedicated to promoting a positive image of the company.</li>
<li>Responsible attitude towards safety and equipment</li>
<li>Ability to work on their own with little supervision.</li>
<li>Effective as a team player</li>
<li>Ability to travel offshore/overseas when required.</li>
<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Clean UK Drivers Licence.</li>
</ul>

<li>Knowledge of welding and manufacturing processes.</li>
<li>Developing a Quality Management System.</li>

<li>Competent in applying defined systems of work.</li>
<li>Knowledge of developing new HSEQ processes for continual improvement.  </li>
