<p>Charity People are delighted to be partnering with Open Road in their search for a IPS Senior Employment Specialist. Open Road is a Drug and Alcohol Recovery support charity that provides services to support individuals on their journey to recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. They also offer helps to individuals in the Criminal Justice sector. Open Road prides themselves on giving people a safe place to come and discuss their problems free from judgement and in complete confidence with our trained and professional staff. We are seeking a personable, creative, and insightful individual who is looking to do work that is meaningful and lifechanging.</p>

<p>Open Road aims to increase the number of people moving into employment from specialist community health services. As the Senior Employment Specialist, you will play pivotal role in helping people transition into paid work in a way that respects their preferences and choices. You will lead a team of Employment Specialists, delivering supported employment to people in community treatment for substance misuse, who may be affected by other health conditions or disabilities, using the Individual Placement and Support approach (IPS).</p>

<p>The Senior Employment Specialist will also be responsible for effectively managing a high-quality service that adheres to the principles of IPS best practice. Monitoring and managing performance of the IPS Employment Specialists - guiding them individually on best practice and achieving individual and team job outcome targets will also be key aspects of the role. You will create a culture of continuous improvement and support the design and delivery of in-house staff training and development (including facilitating peer learning and best practice). As well as managing the team of Employment Specialists, you will manage the IPS service budget and analysis of service value; identify training needs of staff and arrange appropriate training to support with continuous professional development.</p>
<p>This is an exciting and fascinating role for an Employment Specialist looking for the next step in their career. There are lots of varied caseloads to be involved in, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of charity-wide strategies to establish a holistic recovery plan for people in structured treatment for drug and/or alcohol abuse.</p>

<p>Ideally, you will have:</p>
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of Individual Placement and Support approach</li>
<li>We would like you to have experience talking to employers and helping people into work</li>
<li>We want great communication skills and the ability to build relationships with everyone from the frontline up to CEO level</li>
<li>Negotiation skills and commercial acumen</li>
<li>Proven ability to build rapport with people and especially understanding issues from people affected by substance misuse or similar conditions</li>
<li>Boundless enthusiasm, excellent teamwork, and the ability to work in a target driven environment</li>
<li>Strong communication and organisation skills</li>
