Procurement Specialist- Remote Working

NES has been exclusively retained by our client in search of a procurement specialist to drive performance of the supply chain on major capital projects. This opportunity represents a great chance to get into an emerging industry and further develop your career. <br> <br> Procurement Specialist is responsible for administering and leading competitive bidding processes, negotiating commercial terms, proposal analysis, commercial reports issuance, and evaluating and selecting suppliers in accordance with company policies.  This position will operate within the Procurement Team and its associated guidelines but interface regularly with the Project and Construction teams to ensure purchases are meeting all company requirements. <br> <br><b>Responsibilities</b><br><ul><li>Formulates requests for proposal/quotations/information, bid analysis, tenders, and risk evaluations.</li><li>Administers and leads cross-functional teams through the competitive bidding process, directs supplier negotiations, develops, evaluates, and selects suppliers in accordance with company policies.</li><li>Strategically sources equipment and services using a variety of methods to ensure an uninterrupted supply.</li><li>Evaluates and selects suppliers based on their ability to provide the goods/services and at costs consistent budgetary expectations.</li><li>Responsible for negotiation of construction contracts.</li><li>Collaborates with both internal and external legal counsel, as applicable.</li><li>Tracks material/service costs and supplier performance.</li><li>Engage in regular contact with suppliers.</li><li>Leads and/or participates in meetings with suppliers.</li></ul><b>Qualifications</b><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, (i.e., Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, etc.) or equivalent combination of experience and technical training.</li><li>Minimum one year in a renewables/ utility / power plant / heavy construction project environment, with and understanding of types of equipment being purchased.</li><li>Knowledge of purchasing processes.</li><li>Experience working in a high-performance company with multiple systems and organizations related to compliance, safety, quality, and environmental management.</li><li>Strong written and oral communications skills.</li><li>Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external customers and suppliers.</li><li>Self-starter with excellent planning, project management, work planning, and organizing skills.</li><li>Strong computer skills with ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite of products e-binding system.<br> </li></ul><br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
