Site Project Controls Lead<br> <br> The Site Project Controls Lead provides project controls support to the project site.  Capital projects vary by category and stage.  This role has primary responsibility for WBS/CBS creation and maintenance, cost management, change management, risk management, and project reporting & analysis. Secondary responsibilities are coordinating with planning/scheduling & progress measurement team members in due course of validating budgets/spend/forecasts.  The Site Project Controls Lead will assist the Site Project Controls Manager with benchmarking and project closeout.  This individual will be located at the manufacturing site in Silver Peak, NV. <br><br> RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: <br><br><ul><li>Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Site Contractor project controls and management teams</li><li>Serve as the site's Cleopatra Cost Estimator SME</li><li>Assist the project managers in the development and management of Project Controls APP deliverables</li><li>Assist the Project Manager in the establishment of the project's Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)</li><li>Assist and provide support, as required, in the creation of the project cost estimate in Cleopatra - must be comfortable reading basic drawings, performing material takeoffs (MTO), site walk-downs, procuring budgetary quotes from vendors, and other basic early phase estimate development functions</li><li>Site Project Controls Lead will provide estimate assurance support, as needed</li><li>Convert the project's approved estimating into a control budget for usage in cost management</li><li>Liaise with the Controller - Sustaining Capital Projects for the month end financial process including:<ul><li>Monthly calculation of Value of Work Done (VOWD) and supporting narratives using ALB standard tools and procedures</li><li>Monthly calculation of accruals</li><li>Coordination and management of monthly forecast into SAP/PPM</li><li>Analysis and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast performance using Albemarle standard tools and procedures inclusive of budgets, actuals, commitments, accruals, trends, variances</li></ul></li><li>Coordinate and prepare the cost management input to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and overall budgeting and reporting processes for the entire site portfolio following established site tools, systems, procedures, and protocols</li><li>Interface with Finance & Accounting in the creation, management and control of cash flow forecasting, provision of financial perspective on project performance, asset creation, timekeeping, accounting entries and reviews, system data analysis and reporting</li><li>Contribute to the creation and maintenance of project schedules at the appropriate levels of detail established by Project Controls Procedures and Guidelines.  Must be comfortable with planning and scheduling software such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, and/or Milestone Pro.</li><li>Assist project managers in the validation of Contractor reporting budgets/actuals/accruals/forecast expenditures.
