<p>The foundation is a part of the global movement of Community Foundations that develop philanthropic funds and strengthen civil society. They provide vital funding to local voluntary and community organisations in Essex through donations from individuals, companies, charitable trusts and public agencies.</p>
<p>The Grants Officer is a key role in the organisations information flow and you will support the annual distribution of grant funding to voluntary and community organisations working in Essex, Southend and Thurrock. Responsibilities include advising potential grants applicants, grant partners, assessing and evaluation funding applications and preparing reports for fundholders and decision-making panels.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will have knowledge and/or experience of grant making and its processes as well as have an interest in or understanding of social issues in Essex. You will be a confident communicator and team player with the ability to work across multiple strands of work and demonstrate strong organisational skills. Ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders is essential to this post.</p>
