<b>Overview</b><br />
<br />
The OE Specialist provides leadership and expertise to promote Operational Excellence (OE) within the Technology Strategy & Planning Department. This role is responsible for designing and implementing solutions for continuous process improvements to achieve company goals, driving OE and safety culture, assessing OE and safety performance, and identifying process improvement opportunities.<br />

The specialist will also lead professional teams to implement OE best practices and leverage those across the department; as well as provide guidance, training and support to implement OE solutions across divisions with consideration to linkages and complexities amongst them.<br />

<b>Key Responsibilities</b></p>

<li>Drive OE and safety culture within office-based organizations through effective engagement with management and employees.</li>
<li>Develop and support the execution of annual OE and Safety plans and process improvement initiatives in order to promote and sustain targeted OE performance.</li>
<li>Lead and monitor department OE and safety implementation and performance against targets using OE and safety performance management tools and dashboards.</li>
<li>Analyze OE and safety performance using corporate methodologies and tools to identify and prioritize OE implementation risks and gaps, establish mitigation measures, and instill lessons learned and best practices across the department.</li>
<li>Mentor, train and coach performance improvement and transformation teams, OE team members and assessment teams to advance OE subject matter expertise.</li>

<b>Minimum Requirements</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Bachelor degree in Operational Excellence, Quality Management, Science, Engineering, Business, or Safety & Environmental Sciences. An advanced degree would be a plus.</li>
<li>At least 10 years professional experience, with at least five years of OE related experience, preferably within oil and gas industry research and development organizations.</li>
<li>Fundamental technical knowledge and expertise in developing, implementing and coordinating comprehensive management systems such as EFQM or BQA, and broad knowledge of ISO Standards (9001 and 45001) and Safety Management Systems (SMS).</li>
<li>A record of presentations or publications on OE and management systems at local, regional or international conferences or journals is desired.</li>
<li>The ability to work with all levels in an organization and with highly-diverse technical teams.</li>
</ul>

Total Quality Management (TQM) certification and/or Lean/Six Sigma Certification is desirable.<br />
