Financial Accountant

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood has an immediate need for a Financial Accountant to join our Consulting team in Malasia based in our Kuala Lumpur office, located centrally in the CBD. We are a leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services and positioned for growth across APAC and the globe. <br><br>Our ideal candidate will undertake financial accounting, GL reconciliations, lead the external and internal audit process and undertake monthly management reporting to ensure efficiency and effective best practice for the business. This is a role where we value interpersonal skills to advise, inform and influence managers while providing strong financial controls. <br><br>In this role you will <br><ul><li> Actively work with others in the Finance team as well as Project Managers, Service Line Managers and Engineers across the Consulting business </li><li> Assist the Senior Project Accountant with close out tasks, journals and billability reporting </li><li> Undertake credit safe checks on new clients </li><li> Participate in financial operations of the company including working with other Wood Malaysian entitities and corporate tax submissions </li></ul><br> Please note that we will only accept applications from Malaysian citizens or those who hold a valid working rights for Malaysia. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>We are seeking a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with a proven track record in accounting and operational experience is essential. <br><ul><li> 5+ years commercial financial accounting experience </li><li> Strong analytical mind set, inquisitive and curious and keen to set things and see things right </li><li> Experienced working on a large ERP system such as Oracle </li><li> Strong computer skills with solid understanding of Microsoft Office with excellent MS Excel skills </li><li> Experience with Hyperion (HFM) would be desirable / ideal </li><li> Proven knowledge of Financial Accounting and Accounting Standards </li><li> Attention to detail and able to consistently meet agreed deadlines </li><li> Smooth interpersonal skills, confidence in communcatig and the ability to work effectively within a small and connected team </li><li> Hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure when circumstances demand </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
