Financial Accountant

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our team in Melbourne on permanent basis. <br><br>The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of management accounting activities for the Wood Australia entity including financial and management accounting deliverables, budgeting and forecasting activities and to provide senior management with support for accounting and finance issues. <br><br><b> Responsibilities </b> <br><br><ul><li> Accurate and timely month-end preparation including financial analysis and Hyperion reporting </li><li> Preparation of the entity's tax compliance including BAS, Payroll Tax, Workcover and FBT obligations for review </li><li> Assist in tax compliance with Income Tax Return preparation and Transfer Pricing documentation </li><li> Support Group Tax Manager with internal / external reporting and compliance related tasks and activities. </li><li> Reconciliation of intercompany transactions, other general ledger and subsidiary ledgers </li><li> Ensure adherence to IFRS, company financial policies and internal controls. </li><li> Collaborating with Shared Services (including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll as required </li><li> Supporting role in year-end procedures and assist with the annual financial audit </li><li> Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and adjustments </li><li> Trial Balance owner for the entity </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> CPA qualified or working towards </li><li> Hyperion and Oracle experience an advantage </li><li> Good excel skills </li><li> Strong analytical and problem-solving skills </li></ul><br> Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role. <br><br>If you're an experienced Financial Accountant ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today. <br><br>Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity! <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
