Legal and Compliance Officer

<p>Responsibilities</p>

<ul>
<li>Drafting and review of legal documents</li>
<li>Ensuring timely filing of annual returns and other compliance obligations</li>
<li>Review and management of company risks</li>
<li>Preparation of quarterly compliance statement</li>
<li>Assisting with the drafting of minutes of Board and Board Committee meetings</li>
<li>Preparation of management reports</li>
</ul>

<p>Education</p>

<ul>
<li>LLB or equivalent first degree in Law</li>
<li>Membership of the Nigerian Bar or other relevant jurisdiction</li>
<li>LLM or equivalent degree a plus</li>
<li>An MBA, ACCA or CFA an additional advantage</li>
</ul>

<p>Experience</p>

<ul>
<li>Strong drafting skills</li>
<li>4-5 years post call</li>
<li>Knowledge of company compliance obligations</li>
<li>Strong numerate skills</li>
<li>An understanding of the Nigerian regulatory landscape</li>
<li>Facility with relevant oil and gas laws and regulations</li>
</ul>
