As a part of the GFO (Global Finance Organisation) leadership team, this individual will be responsible for all of the centralized reporting &amp; statutory activity, reporting directly to the Global Finance Lead.<br />
<br />
The main focus of this position is managing all matters related to internal US GAAP and external STAT (Non-US GAAP) reporting for Baker Hughes, including the compliance with financial reporting regulations in all countries where we operate as a business. Role expectations include proactive and dynamic management of the Reporting &amp; Statutory team to achieve key performance measurements in terms of efficiency, productivity and quality while ensuring all the controls are followed and mentoring the teams through a service excellence provider culture.<br />

As a Global Reporting &amp; Statutory Lead, you will be responsible for:</p>

<ul>
<li>Leading and developing a team of 100+ finance professionals who are responsible for the overall management and delivery of Reporting &amp; Statutory activities across the enterprise</li>
<li>Defining reporting requirements for existing and new legal entities and ensure practical implementation of these requirements in internal systems</li>
<li>Researching and keeping abreast of global financial reporting developments, evaluate necessary business and process changes, develop, and execute plans accordingly to ensure compliance with new regulations</li>
<li>Managing Reporting &amp; Statutory projects and develop strategic and operational implementation work plans to ensure new service or country launches are compliant and timely</li>
<li>Having solid understanding of how Financial reporting affect in-house financial applications and systems e.g. Oracle &amp; SAP</li>
<li>Building a strong collaborative partnership with external &amp; internal advisors (in particular our global audit partners and corporate tax team), Coordinate and manage with these groups on various reporting &amp; statutory issues, e.g. obtain advice as necessary and ensure accurate and timely reporting and government filings</li>
<li>Contributing to Financial Statutory awareness and appreciation within the Baker Hughes group</li>
<li>Managing the accurate, reliable, and timely reporting for internal requirements</li>
<li>Ensuring compliance with required external and internal controls</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Have Bachelors or Master&
39;s degree in Accounting, Finance or any business related field. Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) or graduate degree in Finance is a definite asset</li>
<li>Have at least 12 years of relevant experience in a multinational environment, Big 4 / major corporation experience highly regarded</li>
<li>Have strong technical knowledge in Financial Standards for reporting in an international context, both in mature and developing jurisdictions</li>
<li>Have experience with financial reporting setup in systems, including ERP systems</li>
<li>Have SAP / ORACLE knowledge and advanced user in Excel</li>
<li>Have experience in managing large teams (min 8-10 span of control)</li>
<li>Have solid organizational skills - Time management and prioritization of live issues and multiple tasks</li>
<li>Have ability to work in a fast-moving environment, take initiative, and be self-managed.</li>
<li>Have ability to extract, analyze, and review data and make appropriate recommendations</li>
<li>Have project management experience, including strong organizational and change management skills</li>
<li>Have strong verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complicated financial technical issues with senior leadership</li>
<li>Have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of cross-functional teams</li>
<li>Have ability to have good grasp of the detail whilst understanding the &quot;big picture&quot;, and to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously</li>
<li>Be able to lead and collaborate effectively across multiple internal functions</li>
<li>Have professional &quot;get it done&quot; attitude and work ethic</li>
</ul>
