We&rsquo;re looking for a UX Designer to join a not-for-profit team supporting the education sector. Believers in &lsquo;Technology for Good&rsquo; they improve lives through learning and research.<br /><br /><strong>What you&rsquo;ll be doing</strong><br /><br />You&rsquo;ll be joining a centralised UX team and working alongside several other UX designers, reporting into an experienced Lead. In the current structure the UX Design role is that of a generalist, conducting research, facilitating design as well as producing lo-fi and hi-fi work for delivery. Naturally most designers in the team are T shaped with an area of expertise but good broad experience in the whole design process. The UX maturity of the team is emergent and working towards structured.<br /><br />As part of the UX team you&rsquo;ll play a role in helping to raise the profile of UX, educate others and engage a wide variety of stakeholders in the design process. You&rsquo;ll be working in Agile design and development with a wider team of tech, project, product and delivery experts.<br /><br />The team is growing so we&rsquo;re open to midweight and senior applications for this role.<br /><br /><strong>What experience you&rsquo;ll need</strong><br />
<ul><li>Previous experience in a UX role that&rsquo;s involved conducting user research and testing.</li><li>Evidence you&rsquo;ve used insight to improve design across digital touchpoints.</li><li>Have worked with design systems, pattern libraries and/or style guides</li><li>Preferably have worked across complex, data oriented user interfaces and visualisation tools.</li><li>Passionate about user centricity, great at communicating the value to people from all backgrounds.</li><li>Have worked in agile, cross functional teams.</li><li>A good understanding of WCAG accessibility standards.</li><li>Any degree in design, UX, psychology or other research based field desirable but not essential.</li></ul>
