<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p><strong>We are looking for a Deputy Director of Producing to join our Producing department. </strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>This is an exciting opportunity to be central to the NT's producing output and realisation of artistic programme.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The Deputy Director of Producing (DDP) will manage and run the producing team, acting as line manager for the Project Producers and Producing Coordinators.  </p>
<p> </p>
<p>The role will work closely with the Head of Planning to support the Director of Producing in the strategic development of the producing department and the realisation of the artistic programme; cross-departmental communication and working on the development of organisational initiatives; fostering excellent relationships with co-producers and artists.  </p>
<p> </p>
<p>The DDP will work with the Director of Producing and the Production Finance team on a strategic business model, and will lead on annual production budgeting, including forecasting and parameters setting. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>They will also work with creative, production, technical and administrative teams to deliver the best possible work to the NT stages whilst balancing resources and financial imperatives. The DDP will also take a lead producer role on specific productions and projects.  </p>
<p> </p>
<p>The DDP will manage and chair regular producing meetings, as well as deputising in the absence of the Director of Producing. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>The Head of Play Development and Head of Studio will deputise for the Director of Producing in all matters related to the New Work Department. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>The successful candidate will have the following:   </p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Significant experience in a senior role in theatre management, including a substantial period as a producer 
<p> </p>
A proactive and skilled cross-departmental strategic thinker, and energetic leader with demonstrable record and considerable experience in the delivery of major productions at the highest artistic level 
<p> </p>
Extensive experience of contract negotiation & drafting 
<p> </p>
Ability to demonstrate excellent financial control with proven experience of creating and managing complex budgets across all scales of projects 
<p> </p>
Strong leadership skills through line management experience and an ability to motivate and develop a team to ensure their efforts, relationships and priorities are focused upon the delivery of high quality work to our stages 
<p> </p>
Dedicated and committed with excellent focus and organisational skill. The ability to demonstrate outstanding project management skills across the coordination of several projects simultaneously
