Safety Engineer

<p><b>DURATION / LOCATION</b> <br /><br />- Starting date: ASAP<br />- Duration : 12 months <br />- Renewable: YES <br />- Location: <b>UK/London Contractor's offices</b> <br />- Status: residential <br /><br /><b>MISSIONS / SERVICE DIMENSIONS</b> <br /><br />1. Safety Engineering FEED Contractors related activities supervision and coordination, <br />2. Project and cost management in liaison with other disciplines, <br />3. Technical papers preparation to support management position for clarifications/ decisions with regulatory authorities of host countries, other entities or partners, <br />4. Deviation requests coordination to the project referential, in a timely manner and with due consideration to cost and schedule, <br />5. Participation / Organization of key project reviews, plot plan reviews, HAZOP reviews, constructability review and design/model review meetings, <br />6. Review of Safety documents in accordance with industry standards, codes and company specifications, 7<br />7. Produce comments in due time, explain to Contractor and follow up the implementation <br />8. Supervise and coordinate the safety engineering related activities performed by the FEED Contractor in particular: Safety Concept, safety philosophies, safety distances calculations notes, gas dispersion and radiation analysis, firewater systems design, hazardous areas and fire &amp; gas layouts, fire &amp; gas matrix, QRA/F(E)RA/EERA, safety critical elements identification and verification of design risks to ensure they are managed as per Company requirements to the ALARP level <br />9. Review and propose answer to possible technical queries and derogations to Project specifications related to his/her discipline. <br />10. Contribute to the evaluation of engineering, procurement, construction, instalation and review/approval of deliverables from the design contractor (Engineering drawings, calculation notes, specifications, procedures...) <br />11. Interfaces between disciplines: Inform engineering manager and liaise with other disciplines involved such as process, PVV <br />12. To comply with HSE requirements and to support and enforce the HSE Project objectives and directives, <br />13. To support and implement the Project HSE management system (plans, procedure and specifications). <br /><br /><b>CONTEXT &amp; ENVIRONMENT</b> <br /><br />The South Gas Company (SGC) is a governmental sector company (public sector) operating in the south of Iraq. During the FEED studies the company provide a technical assistance to SGC Project Management Team for the review of FEED Contractor engineering deliverables. SGC is developing a Gas Hub which objective is to valorize currently flared associated gas from several onshore oil fields by gathering and transporting this gas to a new gas processing plant (GPP). The Gas Processing Plant facilities will be installed at the Ar Ratawi site approximately 65 km west of Basrah city. The project also includes an extended pipeline interconnecting network together with an export storage and offloading jetty terminal. The project will be developed in two phases, respectively designed to process 300 MMSCFD of raw gas each. <br /><br /><b>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIRED</b> <br /><br />Advanced expertise is required: <br />* In Safety Engineering in oil &amp; gas project/industry specially for onshore fields. <br />* In project at all life-cycle stages of project development (FEED, Basic and Detailed Engineering, etc) <br />* International Safety codes <br />* in Safety Software as PHAST, FlareSIm <br />* in Sour Gas Service design <br />* In QRA methodology, Risks Assessment, Safety Distances Calculations, 3D CFD simulations <br />* in Green House Gas and Energy <br /> <br /><b>The service will be performed in English.</b></p><p>Our role in supporting <b>diversity</b> and <b>inclusion</b><br />As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
