Summary Summary: Benefits Analyst plays a critical role in achieving Chenega Corporation’s benefit goals. This position analyzes and assists in delivering health and welfare programs to employees and management with the highest standards for quality, service, and efficiency. This is a professional position in which the incumbent is expected to fulfill assigned responsibilities and duties with modest and diminishing supervision. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Establishes, maintains, follows, and enforces administrative processes and procedures that achieve the highest standard for employee data accuracy, integrity and security; human resources service quality and delivery; vendor relations; bill payment and accounting accuracy; efficient use of resources; and program value to employees and the Act as a liaison between the company and the carriers regarding claim issues and makes decision based on the plan documents Review, research, and make an informed decision on exception requests that include eligibility, claims and RX Ensure the accuracy of payroll deductions for health and welfare plans, including retro Serve as a resource for both COBRA and Leave Management questions and issues Responsible for responding to information requests such as child support orders, coordination of benefits and Medicare Oversees open and ongoing enrollments and changes, to include material preparation, employee communications, vendor updates, and HRIS Ensures accurate and timely processing of monthly invoicing for all benefit plans, and works directly with accounting to reconcile benefit payment Assist with training SBU HR teams, including holding benefits meetings with employees in the No Supervisory Responsibilities Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) Bachelor;s degree or relevant Minimum of five (5) years’ experience administering health and welfare programs CBP,CEBS, PHR or relevant certification preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and take Knowledge of relevant federal laws such as ERISA, FLSA, SCA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA and federal government Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, and governmental Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to work independently, determines, and develops solutions to for complex Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general Adapts to changes in the work environment. Manages competing Changes approach or method to best fit the situation. Is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Supports everyone's efforts to succeed Ability to create spreadsheets and work inside of Excel at an expert level Knowledge of database reporting Advance math skills to include the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with skills such as the ability to merge documents, create complex spreadsheets, create databases and reports using HRIS export data between software Must be well organized, able to meet hard deadlines, time schedules
