HSSE Coordinator

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently sourcing for a <b>Health, Safety, Security, Environmental & Sustainability Coordinator (HSSE) </b>to support one of our Outage projects in <b>Franklin, Virginia</b>. Anticipated<b> Assignment Duration: Three (3) weeks. </b> <br><br>Authorization work Lawfully in the US without Sponsorship from Wood is required. <br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b> <br><br> &bull; Support the Wood enterprise HSSE&S initiatives and programs <br> &bull; Review, and have a complete understanding, of existing Wood policies and procedures <br> &bull; Support development of new HSSE&S policies and procedures to meet enterprise needs <br> &bull; Implement/support project HSSE&S execution plans <br> &bull; Compile data and report KPIs to assess HSSE&S field performance <br> &bull; Ensure projects meet all enterprise and RE&P HSSE&S assurance protocols <br> &bull; Participate in HSSE&S Incident investigations and root cause analysis processes <br> &bull; Track corrective actions for assigned project and communicate trends and corrective actions <br> &bull; Assist in the planning, recognition, evaluation, and mitigation of risk to the assigned project <br> &bull; Understand and support applicable legislative, client, and Wood requirements for the assigned project <br> &bull; Engage in the HSSE&S training process <br> &bull; Communicate effectively and regularly with Wood employees and supervision <br> &bull; Support injury care for employees and case management for all work-related incidents or illnesses <br> &bull; Implement the Wood Drug & Alcohol Program <br> &bull; Support the needs of RE&P HSSE&S department <br> &bull; Maintain a detailed understanding of construction work practice means-and-methods <br> &bull; Maintain a thorough understanding of construction regulatory requirements under 29 CFR 1926 <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> QUALIFICATIONS: </b><br><ul><li> Capable of pursuing nationally recognized certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST, or OHST), OSHA 500, or degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field </li><li> Possess a minimum of 3 years of progressive performance responsibility within the HSSE&S field </li><li> Ability to safely navigate construction sites </li><li> Established experience within capital construction projects </li><li> Ability to support complex HSSE teams and projects </li><li> CPR/AED/First Aid c ertification or ability to attain </li><li> Additional HSSE&S based continuing education </li><li> Effective written and verbal communication skills </li><li> High level of integrity for reporting, as well as upholding enterprise policy </li><li> Proven ability to self-direct and complete tasks on-time with minimal oversight </li><li> Ability to support audit compliance in the workplace </li><li> Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) </li><li> Ability to perform all physical requirements while wearing protective face coverings per CDC recommendations and Wood policies relative to COVID </li></ul><br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
