Payroll Tax Specialist

OVERVIEW As a Payroll Tax Specialist, you will administer accurate payroll tax payments and filing on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis. Be a liason with Corporate Tax, payroll specialists and outside vendors. Focus on Process Improvement opportunities and delivers service excellence to employees, managers and HR professionals. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Performs the day- to- day payroll tax processing activities • Responsible for all quarterly and annual payroll tax reconciliations, including the oversight of all year-end activities for payroll tax • Oversees the setup of new tax authorities, registrations • Respond to Federal, State and Local Inquiries (Correspondence) • Timely and accurate vendor tax filing and funding, including identifying and resolving reconciling items related to the tax processing • Perform internal audits and analysis. Resource for external audit information • Process tax refunds • Backup accountability for payroll tax configuration MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • 3 – 5 years of payroll tax experience • 3 – 5 years customer service experience • Strong prioritization skills • High level of collaboration • Proven effectiveness at delivering outstanding results • Drives results by building high-trust relationships at all levels • Navigates the organization and understands the complexity of a global services group • Strong communication skills to both a technical and non-technical audience • Ability to lead technological change and process improvements • Flexibility to handle changing work demands • Demonstrate a passion for and understanding of process and technology PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Knowledge of technical (Workday & Master Tax) systems • Change management skills and experience COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
