Summary The Associate General Counsel will provide complex legal advice, counsel, and representation to The Chenega Corporation and its family of companies (“Chenega”). Responsibilities Identify risks and propose alternative solutions to mitigate risks. Draft transactional documents. Provide asset and corporate level due diligence. Provide counsel and work as a team with others within the Strategic Business Units. No Supervisory duties. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Law degree from an accredited law school and minimum of five years legal experience. Experience in any of the following areas a plus: transactional / M&A work, Small Business; government contracting; in-house positions. Must be a member in good standing of the Alaska Bar Association, or a member in good standing of another states’ bar association and become a member of the Alaska Bar within the first year of employment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to analyze information and identify the relevant factual and legal issues Ability to communicate effectively orally, including the ability to make oral presentations Ability to write clear, concise, accurate, and complete legal documents and reports Knowledge of and ability to apply fact-finding and investigative methods, techniques, and procedures
