<p><b><b>About the Team</b></b></p><p></p><p>Resource Management (RM) at PWC provides the right people for the right jobs, at the right time, in the right places - building client teams with a commercial mindsets to deliver quality solutions.  We work collaboratively with the Business to deliver deployment solutions as well as play a key role in the delivery of our people priorities including Fair Work Access, Diversity &amp; Inclusion, Talent Development, Engagement and providing Career Enhancing Experiences for our people.  </p><p></p><p>It’s an exciting time to be in Resource Management as transformation is starting to shape the workforce of the future with us playing a pivotal role to drive this forward.</p><p></p><p>Our B&amp;CM business unit spans across the UK with the substantial part of the business unit based in London, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Manchester and Leeds. </p><p></p><p><b><b>About the Role</b></b></p><p></p><p>The Resource Manager for B&amp;CM will be responsible for managing the people teams within their business area to ensure staff are being utilised in a way that helps individuals meet their career goals whilst ensuring our teams are able to deliver client work to a high standard. You will have a small number of direct reports - between 1 and 3 people.</p><p></p><p>As a Resource Manager within our team you’ll have the ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders whilst dealing with complex issues and changing situations.  </p><p></p><p><b>The key responsibilities of this role:</b></p><ul><li><p>Manage the team by optimising headcount, manage/oversee joiners, leavers and secondments, increasing utilisation and being aware of the impact on employee engagement</p></li><li><p>Delivering the manpower and resourcing plan by having a deep understanding of portfolio growth plans and headcount required to support these; balancing these with the needs of the individual</p></li><li><p>Conducting regular portfolio reviews to ensure maximum utilisation, development and fair allocation of work for each individual</p></li><li><p>Interpret and Analyse Management Information (MI) to provide trends, make connections and spot opportunities to improve profitability</p></li><li><p>Share knowledge, best practice and network with your colleagues across the business and Resource Management Function</p></li><li><p>Support the Senior Resource Manager with recruitment interviews and inducting new staff</p></li><li><p>Engage and promote the use of key resourcing systems including demand management, optimisation and forecasting tool </p></li></ul><p></p><p>The role will involve some travel throughout the UK on an infrequent basis.</p><p></p><p><b><b>Essential Skills and Experience</b></b></p><p></p><p>To enable us to deliver our strategy, we want to attract Resource Managers from varying backgrounds and industries who have experience in:</p><ul><li><p>Delivering business outcomes in a fast paced and changing environment</p></li><li><p>Developing and sustaining long term relationships with key stakeholders in the business, Resource Management and other operational areas</p></li><li><p>Negotiating with senior stakeholders to deliver resourcing and strategic requirements</p></li><li><p>Using a commercial mind-set and business acumen, including the use of analytics to inform decision making</p></li><li><p>Developing and driving solutions to improve profitability of clients and the wider organisation</p></li><li><p>Using data and Management Information (MI) to advise the business on options and solutions to drive growth and profitability.</p></li><li><p>Be a trusted advisor who provides balanced and pragmatic advice around manpower planning and resource management</p></li><li><p>Liaising, influencing and challenging effectively to build relationships at all levels and with multiple stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Developing yourself and the team by seeking opportunities that stretch and challenge</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Input to the Resourcing objectives and vision for the business unit/line of service</p></li><li><p>Influencing and creating a vision for change by championing the delivery of change</p></li><li><p>Involvement in recruiting and retaining team members</p></li></ul><br /><p><strong>Not the role for you?</strong><br />Did you know PwC offer <a href="http://pwctrk.co.uk/tp/rj6_YRe1p-J.K" rel="no-follow">flexible contract</a> arrangements as well as <a href="http://pwctrk.co.uk/tp/rj6_uo6An.J.K" rel="no-follow">contingent work</a> (ie temporary or day rate contracting)?<br /><br /><strong>The skills we look for in future employees</strong><br />All our people need to demonstrate the skills and behaviours that support us in delivering our business strategy.
