Accounting Assistant

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for an <b>Accounting Assistant</b> to support the petrochemical industry. Successful candidate will work in the <b>Deer Park, TX</b> area and local candidates are preferred (there is no relocation assistance or per diem offered). <br><br>Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required <br><br><b> Job Description / Duties / Responsibilities: </b><br><ul><li> Exhibit exceptional safety behavior meeting or exceed the company and customer safety standards </li><li> Support Client Capital Project 120 Day Backlog Initiative </li><li> Review capital projects for qualification as capital </li><li> Release funds for approved projects </li><li> Assist Property Accounting in closing projects </li><li> Solicit closing documentation </li><li> Manage status of projects on backlog initiative list </li><li> Assist as needed with resolution for closure issues </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications: </b><br><ul><li> Minimum of 3-6 years of Accounting Assistant experience in the Petrochemical industry or like </li><li> Strong computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Office Products, to include Excel, Word, etc. </li><li> Ability to be trained and learn client Project Financial tools; AR (Authorization Request) Tool, various spreadsheets, others </li><li> Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively handle multiple projects and/or changing priorities </li><li> Ability to work well on a small team </li><li> Must have the ability to be a quick learner </li><li> Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and written </li><li> Excellent verbal and written communications skills </li><li> Attention to details </li></ul><br><b> Additional Desired Skills / Qualifications: </b><br><ul><li><ul><li> Proactive and positive attitude </li><li> Works calmly under pressure </li><li> Works closely with others to achieve results </li><li> Flexible and customer focused </li><li> Efficient and good organizational skills </li></ul></li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
