Summary Telework MAY be approved by the COR The Government Ethics Support Services Specialist will provide financial disclosure assistance to USG attorneys and staff in all matters pertaining to Presidential transition and vetting of nominees for the Senate confirmed and other Presidential appointments. The Government Ethics Support Services Specialist will assist in processing and maintaining client files, databases, and other tracking mechanisms. The Government Ethics Support Services Specialist will organize, schedule, manage, and prepare materials for internal and external training programs and process requests for ethics advice and research. The Government Ethics Support Services Specialist must be able to prepare draft responses for attorney review and transmission. Responsibilities Provide financial disclosure, program administrative, technical, and substantive support. Provide ethics training program administrative, technical, and substantive support. Provide administrative, technical, and substantive support for ethics program compliance tracking and reporting, provision of legal advice, and policy making. Provide ethics program support for Presidential transition activities, including ethics processes relative to the nomination and confirmation of appointees. Provide administrative, technical, and substantive support for general ethics office management and activities. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1+ years of experience being proficient in Federal Executive Branch Government Ethics programs and general office skills, including the following: 1+ years of Financial Disclosure - Working knowledge of Federal Executive Branch financial disclosure laws, regulations, policy, and guidance to include: Technical and substantive conflicts of interest review of OGE 450 Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports and OGE 278 Public Financial Disclosure Reports. Utilization of electronic online financial disclosure filing system(s) to manage assignment, review, certification, and tracking of financial disclosure reports. 1+ years of Ethics Training – Experience in developing, delivering, and/or tracking initial and annual ethics training, to meet OGE regulatory requirements. 1+ years of Ethics Laws and Policy – Applying, interpreting, or otherwise working in the field of Federal Executive Branch ethics laws, regulations, and policies. 1+ years of Ethics Program Administration – Work in federal ethics program administration and management, to include but not limited to OGE compliance deadlines and reporting requirements and establishment and utilization of electronic compliance tracking mechanisms. 1+ years of General Information Technology Proficiency – Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and Adobe products, as well as adapting to and using customized/unique communications software, applications, and equipment. 1+ years of Effective Communications Skills – Experience in coordinating actions with multiple government offices at various levels of leadership of a complex nature requiring effective English language communication skills (writing and speaking). OR A substitute for the ethics experience stated above, the candidate may have at least 1 year of experience as a practicing attorney with a federal agency, provided that such experience involved managing agency compliance with federal regulatory programs. Background check required.
