Human Resources Business Associate - Joplin, MO

The Joplin, MO facility in a 500-person non-union manufacturing site servicing our Convenience & Foodservice and Baking businesses. Joplin is a town of approximately 55k residents (80k+ w/in 30-mile radius) located in Southwest Missouri; approximately 1 hour from Fayetteville, AR; 2 hours from Kansas City, and 1.5 hours from Tulsa, OK. Cost of living is low with convenient access to outdoor activities such as walking trails, camping, kayaking, and hundreds of miles of mountain bike trails. Joplin is home to Missouri Southern State University while the University of Arkansas, Missouri State University, and Pittsburg State University are within a one hour drive. The Human Resources Business Associate is responsible for leading the deployment of key HR initiatives and candidates should have considerable knowledge of Human Resource principles and practices, including but not limited to Talent Management, Compensation, Data Insights and Project Management. RESPONSIBILITIES Annual Process Management (40%): Lead communication, project coordination and calibration support for talent reviews, annual performance and rewards, and performance management process partnering with HR Region and Function Business Partners, HR Operations and Center of Excellence teams Partner closely with plant leadership in facilitation of key projects and initiatives Data Insights (20%): Partner with analytics team to leverage data scorecards and reports to enable insights and identify trends (turnover, exit interview trends, promotions, diversity, etc.), as well as support workforce planning efforts Maintain and track key talent metrics across all functions within location Business Partner and Project Responsibilities (40%): HR Business Partner for functional client groups Project lead for change management initiatives Partner with HR Manager and leadership in strategy development & execution Ad hoc projects as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in ANY major, Master's degree preferred 2 years of relevant experience required Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy Strong customer service focus Strong technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access), Visio, and SharePoint; with a willingness to learn and master other software programs as needed Ability to drive results in a highly ambiguous and constantly changing environment Strong analytical, quantitative and critical thinking skills – ability to prepare and analyze HR reports, translate data into recommendations and take appropriate action to achieve desired business results Ability to lead and manage projects independently COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
