General Mills Total Rewards COE has an exciting opportunity to lead Compensation & Benefits for our International Segment. The International Total Rewards Manager will report to the Director of Global Compensation with a dotted line to the VP of International Human Resources and dotted line to Senior Director of Benefits & Wellbeing. This role will lead the strategy, governance, and oversite for Total Rewards outside of North America, including execution and implementation of our global compensation and benefits philosophy and programs in our international markets. This is a new role and will have one direct report. This role is a key leadership position in the Total Rewards COE and International HR team, driven to ignite our highly engaged and high performing talent to deliver winning performance. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Strategic International Total Rewards Leader (40% of time) Strategic oversight and governance of all people related costs levers (cost of talent) in partnership with market HR and Finance teams Own business relationship with the International HR team, know and understand the strategy and organization design and consult with HR Business Partners and business leaders on a wide range of compensation and benefits topics and projects Be an expert on the external landscape of compensation and benefits outside North America (network with other International Total Rewards leaders) Significant stakeholder management and cross-functional partnership in a matrixed organization, including local HR, COE partners/leaders (compensation, benefits, executive compensation, Talent COE and HR Operations) and global finance partners, this includes developing a strong sense of trust and partnership around the world with effective communication across key partners Drive operational excellence while balancing cultural needs with our global framework Lead and participate in HR, compensation and benefit projects Strategic oversite of compensation programs and processes (10% of time) Guiding senior leadership through key annual processes of Annual Performance and Rewards and Global Competitive Reviews Lead the deployment of programs changes, including consulting with compensation program owners on any location specific nuances Strategic oversite of global benefit programs (40% of time) Provide oversite of General Mills benefit programs outside of the U.S. and Canada (inclusive of health, wellness, time off and retirement programs), including compliance and governance Development, in partnership with the Senior Director of Benefits & Well-Being, of our international benefit strategy, governance and long-term road map Own benchmarking of our global benefit programs Team Leadership (10% of time) Be an engaging leader as you focus on the development of your team and those you indirectly lead Participate in HR Function and Global Compensation leadership teams QUALIFICATIONS & CAPABILITIES - REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 8-12 years experience Extensive global experience managing benefits and compensation programs across multiple countries Strong project management skills Strong financial acumen and experience with financial costing Proven track record of demonstrating situational agility and judgement in ambiguous situations Strong partnership mindset with credible influencing with global stakeholder management Previous experience working across boundaries and developing strong, global trusted working relationships Strong data-based decision making skills QUALIFICATIONS & CAPABILITIES - PREFERRED Masters, MBA degree Previous experience implementing new global benefits governance Proven experience leading and building highly engaged teams World at Work certified compensation professional (CCP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) or certification ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. General Mills will not sponsor applicants for a U.S. work visa. International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
