Vendor Coordinator

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently recruiting for an Quality Control / Inspector with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. <br><br><b> * US Only- </b> Authorization to work permanently in the US without sponsorship required. <br><br>RESPONSIBILITIES: <br><ul><li> The qualified candidate(s) will work at client construction project site throughout, inspecting and assessing electrical systems inside and out (Voltage, currents, amps/breakers, etc.) </li><li> Must be able to submit professional reports to clients and must have the ability to meet deadlines <br></li><li>Ensure technical specifications, industry standards, and code requirements are adhered to.<br></li><li>Identify and resolve deficiencies.<br></li><li>Generate NCRs for non-compliant equipment / installations<br></li><li>Submit daily weekly reports on quality control / assurance status.<br></li><li> Work with punchlist team and assist in prioritizing completion of areas. <br></li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><b> Education and Experience: </b> <br><br> Proven background, typically 10 years minimum in offshore Oil & Gas quality control/assurance, inspection and/or commissioning activities in a Inspector or Engineer's role, preferably with Offshore Deepwater experience. <br><br> Proven Supervisory experience in an Electrical role. <br><br> Proficient written and oral English language communication skills. <br><br><b> KNOWLEDGE OF: </b><br><ul><li> Electrical theory, work methods, tools and testing equipment used in the commissioning of Oil/ Gas Facilities </li><li> Telephone, telemetry and SCADA equipment </li><li> Regulations pertaining to electrical and electronic installation, maintenance and repairs </li><li> Electrical Distribution Systems including 480V Motor Control Centers </li><li> Lighting Systems and Distribution Panels </li><li> DC and UPS Power Systems </li><li> Wiring and Troubleshooting abilities </li><li> PLC logic controls </li><li> Experience with Turbine Generator Start up and Commissioning </li><li> Experience with Diesel Engine driven Back up Emergency Generator Sets </li><li> Experience with 480VAC, medium voltage 4160VAC and above switchgear controls </li><li> Permit to Work System </li><li> Occupational hazards and standard safety procedures </li></ul><br><br><b> Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: </b> <br><br> Relevant Trade certificates are required and/or Higher National Certificate (or equivalent) in a primary Engineering discipline. <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in engineering and consultancy across energy and the built environment, helping to unlock solutions to some of the world's most critical challenges.
