Lead Corporate Learning and Development Specialist

Overview & Responsibilities Republic Finance is seeking a Lead Corporate Learning & Development Specialist to join our growing team! This position will have a Hybrid work schedule (remote with 2 days/wk on site in Baton Rouge). The main function of this position is to maintain and develop the elements of an effective new hire onboarding training program. In this role, you will conduct assessments and analyses to identify new development needs and recommend training methods and tools accordingly. You will consult with subject matter experts to provide curriculum content. In this role you will also direct the work of the Instructional Designer team to provide accurate, compliant, and effective training content and track employee performance and measures training outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational goals. This position reports to the Talent Development Manager. Job responsibilities are as follows: Coordinates the development of content and materials for new employee onboard training including video training, webinars, print materials, and training-related policy & procedure. Maintains in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of company policy and procedure and coordinates with the Legal and Compliance department to ensure all trainings adhere to policy and procedure. Assist in the development of On-the-Job training support tools for supervisors providing onsite onboarding to new employees. Ensures training content remains accurate and updated in response to new and ongoing projects and updates to existing policies and procedures. Conducts assessment and analysis to identify new development needs and recommends training methods accordingly. Leads and directs the work of the Instructional Design team to create custom training materials. Coordinates with the LMS Administrator in the development of training curriculums and assignments. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity is expected Requirements Must have a bachelor’s degree in related field and 3+ years of experience in learning and development in a corporate setting. Prior experience consulting with subject matter experts for curriculum content, conducting assessments and providing analyses to identify new development needs and recommend training methods and tools accordingly. Experience providing direction and leading a team of instructional designers is preferred. Time management skills needed to set priorities and evaluate progress toward outcomes. Interpersonal skills necessary to work cooperatively and effectively with individuals and groups. Strong problem solving, communication (oral and written), relationship building, and organizational skills. Ability and willingness to continue training. Knowledge of and respect for confidentiality. Learning & Development certifications through ATD such as CPTD, APTD or certifications through SHRM are preferred.
