About the Job SUMMARY As an Executive Recruiter at PetSmart, you will be responsible for owning and executing executive level searches across the organization. You will be the trusted partner to our Senior Leaders to identify talent needs, drive diverse recruiting efforts, creative candidate sourcing and building networks to secure top talent. This strategic role is based out of PetSmart's corporate office in Phoenix, Arizona. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Partners with executive level leaders to fulfill leadership talent acquisition needs. Develops, implements, and executes recruitment strategies for Director and above level positions at PetSmart. Drives performance metrics related to talent acquisition to including all D&I efforts. Manages all aspects of the external recruitment process. Attracts, screens, interviews, and selects qualified candidates. Identifies, selects, and manages external vendor relationships with agencies and service providers. Negotiates contract terms and ensures vendor compliance. Ensures that recruitment strategies are timely and cost effective. Ensures integrity of the recruitment process is maintained as well as adherence to Staffing Guidelines. Manages candidate expectations during the entire recruitment and selection process to ensure the PetSmart image remains positive in the eyes of candidates, the community, and our customers. Proactively utilizes passive recruitment tactics as well as building relationships with professional organizations and associations to increase applicant pool. Stays relevant with recruitment tactics and provides leadership to the Talent Acquisition Team in the form of new methods and best practices. Lead and/or support Talent Acquisition and/or occasional Human Resources focused project work, as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 5-10 years’ experience required in corporate recruiting and/or human resources with Senior level talent acquisition responsibilities. 2-3 years executive/leadership recruiting desired. A blend of corporate office and agency experience is preferred. Knowledge within Retail industry is preferred. Experience sourcing and engaging talent across multiple corporate office business areas highly preferred. Must possess comprehensive knowledge of Federal and State employment laws. Must have excellent computer skills and knowledge and fluency within Applicant Tracking Systems. Internet sourcing skills, ability to pre-screen, interview and distribute candidates to hiring managers for review, build recruitment strategies for the various business units, networking and sourcing skills, technical aptitude, negotiation, and leadership skills. Candidate must have executive presence and aptitude for partnering with senior executives. Candidate must be results/customer service orientated, detail oriented, ability to research and gather information and the ability to interpret and evaluate client group needs. Exceptional oral communication, organizing and planning, persuasion skills, teamwork, and written communication skills. TECHNICAL SKILLS Experience with passive candidate sourcing.
