Accounting Assistant

<b>Junior Accounting Assistant</b><br> <b>Roles and Responsibilities:</b><ul><li>Perform general Accounts Payable functions, including verifying, computing, facilitating, and generating payments via ACH, wire transfer, and automated cheques for both TTD and USD invoices promptly.</li><li>Submit daily payment tracker.</li><li>Maintain and manage a proper filing system for soft copy payables documents.</li><li>Liaise with and maintain good relationships between internal departments and external vendors.</li><li>Update payment records in Maximo.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payments, fostering good relationships between the company and all vendors, including statutory government bodies.</li><li>Demonstrate principles of ethics through Integrity, Objectivity, Professional Competence and Due Care, Confidentiality, and Professional Behaviour.</li><li>Go above and beyond when required to meet individual and/or team deadlines and deliverables.</li><li>Comply with all statutory requirements.</li><li>Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.</li><li>Communicate clearly and concisely with all internal and external contacts.</li><li>Demonstrate a high-performance attitude and behaviours in the performance of duties.</li><li>Perform any other related duties as required to support the Finance Department's achievement of the company's goals and objectives.</li></ul><br> <b>Education and Experience:</b><ul><li>At least Level 1 ACCA or CAT accounting qualification or BSc. in Accounting or a related field.</li><li>2 - 3 years of work experience in an accounting environment with payables experience.</li><li>At least two (2) years of experience working with accounting software.</li><li>Experience working with MAXIMO would be an asset.</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills required.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Chemicals, Construction &amp; Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining and&nbsp;Manufacturing&nbsp;sectors worldwide.
