Financial Analyst

The Medical Devices segment produces a broad range of innovative products used primarily by health care professionals in the fields of orthopaedics, neurovascular, surgery, vision care, diabetes care, infection prevention, cardiovascular disease, sports medicine, and aesthetics. This segment is comprised of our Global Medical Solutions, Global Orthopaedics and Global Surgery Groups. Financial Analyst Location: Poland / Latvia or Estonia Contract: Full time, limited - 1 year contract As Finance Analyst, YOU will play a key role in developing insights and foresights for the business by using a strong understanding of the business and external competitive environment. YOU will support and aim to influence the business on a variety of topics including resource allocations and profitability. YOU will be a key member of the BUF team and will contribute to an engaging, collaborative, mindful team and support in the delivery of the BUF goals and objectives, creating value for the Medical Device Poland & Baltics Operating Companies. As Finance Analyst, you will directly report to the Finance Business Controller for North CEE region. The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have: To support Poland & Baltics Hospital Medical Devices business To support and drive financial forecasts for each planning cycle for your area of responsibility through engagement with key business partners, providing templates, data analysis and consolidating, ensuring accuracy, credibility and completeness. To manage monthly and quarterly closing cycle, ensuring compliance, accuracy and timely submissions. Support the controller on his/her finance business support where needed Prepare/present diligent analytics on variances vs budget and lead meaningful conversations with budget owners and Senior Leaders to ensure transparency and alignment to business strategies and goals Monitor expenses and provides insights to enable cross-functional leads to make agile resource allocation decisions across the organization Detailed financial analysis, modeling, or critical metric reporting on ad-hoc basis Support ad hoc projects, processes and requests as required including projects to help identify, plan and execute cost savings / avoidance and process improvement projects. Ensure compliance with finance accounting policies & internal controls, support internal/external audit cycles as needed Develop strong business partnerships with cross-functional areas including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain teams to deliver financial commitments and execution of business strategies. Qualifications We would love to hear from YOU, if you have: BS/BA degree in Finance / Business Administration or relevant field Experience in business partnering strongly preferred Fluent command of English Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally; effective presentation skills Specialist in MS Excel and Powerpoint; experience with Tableau, Power BI, Microsoft Teams preferred Ability to collaboratively challenge and influence others Results oriented with strong prioritization skills, high sense of urgency Analytical and able to work with complexity Strong analytical and financial modeling ability combined with the ability to understand the business context behind decisions Inquisitive and always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes Ability to interpret/use data effectively to generate improvement actions Highly organized, detail orientation, and strong work ethic Experience with ERP systems (SAP, TM1, Business Intelligence knowledge preferred) This is what awaits YOU at J&J: An opportunity to be part of a global market leader.
