<p>Sparrows Group are looking for an experienced HR Coordinator to join our team in Houma, Louisiana on a permanent basis.</p>

<p>Main Responsibilities:<br />
&bull; Supports HR initiatives, projects, programs and policies.<br />
&bull; Provide recruiting support which may include candidate screening and selections, scheduling and assisting with the interview process, assisting with job description updates, attending job fairs, reference checks and making job offers.<br />
&bull; Provides customer service support to employees. Answer questions and addresses concerns related to benefit issues and HR programs.<br />
&bull; Administers Benefits program, attends meetings, works with benefit brokers, suppliers and advisors on an ongoing basis, assists with open enrollment meetings and manages systems.<br />
&bull; Assist with short/long term disability claims.<br />
&bull; Manage and code medical and HR invoices.<br />
&bull; Assists with special projects, reports, presentations, etc. ongoing and as required.<br />
&bull; Conducts onboarding of new hires displaying fluency in company polices, benefits, employee systems, etc.<br />
&bull; Coordinates pre-screening and collects and processes new hire paperwork.<br />
&bull; Administer and updates various HR systems including HRIS, Benefits and payroll systems, thirdu0002party databases, etc. to ensure accuracy.<br />
&bull; Coordinate and track corporate sponsorships and Visa's.<br />
&bull; Schedules, manages and tracks process for drug/alcohol and other employment testing.<br />
&bull; Filing and maintain established record keeping procedures.<br />
&bull; Engage staff and leaders in wellness program to drive wellness and safety.<br />
&bull; Draft documentation on FMLA and Non-FMLA leaves of absence and track in systems.<br />
&bull; Assists and tracks performance management process and compensation reviews.<br />
&bull; Edit job descriptions, org charts and other HR forms, templates and presentations routinely to ensure accuracy.<br />
&bull; Schedule, communicate and coordinate company events.<br />
&bull; Draft company communications and newsletter articles.<br />
&bull; Assembles, prepares and analyzes report.<br />
&bull; Organize and schedule meetings, appointments.<br />
&bull; Complete and submit payroll for bi-weekly payroll for full time, part time and temporary hires in their region.<br />
&bull; Liaise with other departments, facilities and teams as needed for facility certification, customer requirements and internal initiatives or projects.<br />
&bull; With guidance from HR Manager and Business Partner, ensure employment compliance and regulatory procedures are followed.<br />
&bull; Complies with federal, state and local requirements by studying existing and new legislation.<br />
&bull; Responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of HR data including 1-9, EEOC, HR and Payroll data and systems.<br />
&bull; Assist with office and facility management including coordinating office moves, annual fire drill, required postings etc.<br />
&bull; Assist and support HR Manager with administrative tasks and calendar management.<br />
&bull; Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing all tasks and other misc. assigned duties as needed.</p>

<p>Qualifications & Experience:<br />
&bull; Extensive relevant business, office and/or Human Resources experience.<br />
&bull; Degree in a relevant area or HR Certification preferred, but not required.<br />
&bull; Good understanding of various employment laws, HR practices, benefits and payroll principles.<br />
&bull; Experience in Recruitment activities.<br />
&bull; Experience in administration of HR programs including benefits and payroll.<br />
&bull; Strong business office skills: telephone, organizational and computer abilities (Microsoft Office.)<br />
&bull; Excellent interpersonal and teambuilding.<br />
&bull; Effective communication skills, both spoken and written.<br />
&bull; Capable of displaying problem solving and decision-making skills for day to day business support in a timely manner.<br />
&bull; Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems and procedures.<br />
&bull; Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.<br />
&bull; Ability to perform tasks independently, with minimal supervision, as well as within a team environment.<br />
&bull; Ability to multi-task and effectively manage work across multiple projects.<br />
&bull; Models company policies, good behaviors, positive influencer.<br />
&bull; Exhibits a high level of integrity, honesty and confidentiality.<br />
&bull; Skilled in database management and record keeping.</p>
