<div class="mds-edited-text mds-font-body-copy-bulk"><p>Head of Institutional Funding We have an exciting new role for an experienced Head of Institutional Funding to work with an international development and relief charity. Position: Head of Institutional Funding Location: Homebased with occasional travel to Manchester (around twice monthly) Salary: 55 - 63k per annum depending on experience Hours: Full time, permanent. 37.5 hours per week, 9am-5pm About the role: As Head of Institutional Funding you will lead the charity to develop a global funding capability, an institutional funding strategy and long-term plan. You will oversee activity at the charity s country and UK offices pertaining to institutional funding applications and project management. You will be responsible for maintaining existing and building new institutional funding partnerships, whilst ensuring compliance to institutional funding standards. All with a view to increasing and broadening support from institutional funding bodies and maximising donations to increase beneficiary reach. Key responsibilities will include: Strategy and Planning Strategic Networking and Donor Engagement Team management About you: To be successful in the role of Head of Institutional Funding you will need to have significant experience with INGOs and high-profile institutional donors where you can demonstrate: Extensive knowledge and experience in strategy development Experience in team management International development programme background across development and humanitarian spheres Senior level negotiation and influencing skills with a proven ability to facilitate and support bidding teams The ability to spot strategic funding and partnership opportunities and design effective engagement plans for funding success Expert at adding value to programming design and development in order to produce competitive bids which meet funders needs A proven track record of securing funding from high-profile institutional donors like FCDO, ECHO, USAid, UN Agencies, GIZ or SIDA etc and corporates, trusts and foundation Experience in devising donor scoping reports as well as solid understanding of donors due diligence and compliance requirements Excellent stakeholder management skills and a strong understanding of the institutional funding landscape A high-level of financial literacy ability to understand and summarise financial information, develop budgets and demonstrate value for money in proposals Track record in developing and maintain strong working relationships with donors The charity values diversity and takes pride in the fact that their staff are from different walks of life.
