As we continue to support the energy transition to low carbon solutions, we require a dynamic recent graduate to join our software development team. <br><br><b> Job Summary: </b><br><br>Carbon Capture and Storage is a growing field currently transitioning from first-of-a-kind projects to becoming mainstream as the world strives to meet net-zero goals. At SLB, we are driving forward the future of Carbon Capture and Storage by enabling our clients to design and operate carbon capture and storage facilities at the lowest cost, always at the forefront of modeling capabilities. <br><br>The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for validating and verifying software products and components to ensure end-users' workflow can be efficiently performed without software failures. The Quality Assurance Engineer works closely with engineering and domain experts to design and execute quality tests and report results for assigned software products. This person reviews the results of automatic tests with the engineering team during the software development cycle. They will also give input to the product champion to define the user experience of the end-user workflow.<br><br><b> Essential Responsibilities and Duties: </b><br><br>The role will involve:<br><br><ul> <li> Design, organize and execute test strategies, plans and suites in cooperation with the development team.</li> <li> Design and conduct non-functional tests including tests for system load and performance, security, scalability, usability and deployability.</li> <li> Review test plans to ensure completeness. Track testing progress.</li> <li> Analyze and prioritize technical problems. Identify and escalate project risks. Verify the correct fix of reported defects.</li> <li> Review results of automatic tests with the engineering team. Document, review and edit user documentation.</li> <li> Comply with the Software Lifecycle Management and Product Development process.</li> <li> Review software requirements documents. Provide input to improve product effectiveness, integration and usability.</li> <li> Utilize and promote the software development standards and testing and evaluation techniques defined by the SLB software development organization, and contribute to their improvement.</li> <li> Document and report test results in a timely manner using established systems for reporting and defect tracking.</li> <li> Develop automated tests to support efficient regression testing, as well as scripts and software for testing.</li> <li> Defining Product Development</li> <li> Preparing Training Materials and Case Studies</li> </ul> <br><br><b> Qualifications: </b><br><br>The successful candidate should possess the following:<br> <ul> <li> Degree in Reservoir Engineering (or similar field)</li> <li> Experience with Petrel and flow simulation in either INTERSECT or ECLIPSE</li> <li> Experience in commercial reservoir engineering roles (work placements / internships etc)</li> </ul> <br><br>Nice to Have:<br> <ul> <li> Carbon Storage experience</li> </ul> <br><br><b> Career Advancement: </b><br><br>SLB Eureka Technical Career (SETC) provides proven technical contributors with a career path that offers them recognition, reward, and influence that parallels an equivalent management progression.
